Not possible in the constitution |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 6:39pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
okpalaAnambra:Are u sure about that? |
| Re: Hey there by okpalaAnambra: 6:40pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:Yes , I am |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 6:42pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
okpalaAnambra:Wow... That means seriously we as igbos have a lot of work to do... Do u know where in the constitution where it says so? |
| Re: Hey there by Eteka1(m): 6:45pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:So you Igbo have been thinking about how you can acquire more land from other states huh? |
| Re: Hey there by helinues: 6:46pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Impossicant |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 6:47pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Eteka1:Seriously what's your problem, is there a time we can just share our view without you people thinking we have an agenda? |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 6:48pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
helinues:What if a state has a land that its obvious that it will never be used for any economic activity apart from empty forests. And. We are willing to pay $1million dollars for it |
| Re: Hey there by helinues: 6:49pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:Do you understand what boundary means? Except if you guys want to annex the land |
| Re: Hey there by Eteka1(m): 6:49pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:You said you as Igbos have a lot of work to do if it's not legal to buy another State's territory. |
| Re: Hey there by Blue3k(m): 6:50pm On Mar 20, 2020*. Modified: 7:06pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie: Coldie:No, if you want to adjust state line boundries here's the process below. Look in chapter 1. Part 2, section 8.2. An Act of the National Assembly for the purpose of boundary adjustment of any existing State shall only be passed if- |
| Re: Hey there by okpalaAnambra: 6:54pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:A lot of work to do as per how? |
| Re: Hey there by Blue3k(m): 6:59pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
okpalaAnambra:Im guessing he wants to adjust the state boundries. Hes not the first voice his disapproval of the state boundaries. |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 7:00pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
okpalaAnambra:I have been studying the geography of the east with google earth for sometime now. The only thing holding us from the coast is less than 15km... Dredging and compensation. But it reacquires that we buy land areas surrounding the area we are to dredge. |
| Re: Hey there by helinues: 7:03pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:If you buy the land, it still belong to the state you bought it from except you adjust the boundary with the state which seems impossible |
| Re: Hey there by okpalaAnambra: 7:05pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Coldie:Lol..you don't need to buy the land areas to dredge..land belongs to state governments. Besides it's easier to dredge the river in Abia to Atlantic Ocean or the Cross River in Afikpo in Ebonyi to Atlantic Ocean than to dredge River Niger |
| Re: Hey there by orisa37: 7:24pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Eteka1:It's Ruga-Igbo Style. |
| Re: Hey there by orisa37: 7:29pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
Please be careful Miyetti Allah FH is already spreading CORONAVIRUS. |
| Re: Hey there by Coldie(op): 9:53pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
okpalaAnambra:That's the area I intend to focus on |
| Re: Hey there by Efezik007(m): 5:37am On Mar 21, 2020 |
you guys should be contented with what you have. that is the reason yoruba people always call u guys land grabbers. you plan to buy land in another region, then annex it to your region. every country must not have access to the sea. ok |
| Re: Hey there by Anambralstson: 5:46am On Mar 21, 2020 |
Coldie:Go and read international waterways law, if Nigeria cease to exist River Niger will be international waterways it will be accessible by both Igbos and North nobody have the right to block them, only what is required is dredging for bigger vessel |
| Re: Hey there by oyatz(m): 5:56am On Mar 21, 2020 |
You can buy lands anywhere sir. You can buy the whole of Cross River State and even some parts of Cameroon. This will increase your land mass with a long coast line. Coldie: |
| Re: Hey there by 24SEVEN: 10:38am On May 15, 2020 |
@Coldie, you be confirmed nutjob.. |
| Re: Hey there by Nobody: 10:44am On May 15, 2020 |
Eteka1:If we can acquire more land with adequate compensation what's wrong with that ? Didn't America aquire Alaska ? |
| Re: Hey there by Nobody: 10:46am On May 15, 2020 |
Efezik007:Land grabber are people who take land by force ...igbos only want to pay for what we get ...it's done all over the world ....if you hate igbos cause of that then you have a problem Igbos have paid most times above market price for ever land we have gotten Nigeria outside Igbo land so relax |
| Re: Hey there by meccuno: 10:47am On May 15, 2020 |
Igbochief001:America bought the land outrightly. If you buy a land in another state it would still belong to the state. |
| Re: Hey there by Melezenawii: 10:51am On May 15, 2020 |
It is now you realize that you are landlocked region. What do you need that for? What people are saying about you is actually true. Complex mentality? Which state is ready to cede their land? Is it oil rich Bayelsa ? Rivers? Akwa Ibom? Cross Rivers? When you depends on other parts of Nigeria to sell your goods. You have the least population, hence least buying market in your region compare to other regions. Your survival is dependent on Nigeria and Nigerian Population |
| Re: Hey there by Nobody: 10:55am On May 15, 2020 |
meccuno:Firstly the boy asked a very harmless question ...you people could have answered him without bringing the land grabbing into it Every Igbo man know the value of access to the sea , and him like most igbos think if we get a country without south south we won't have access to the sea But that cant be further from the truth ...if Biafra becomes and all Igbo affair ...we have to channels to the ocean which would aromatically become international waters ...the imo river and the Niger river |
