He is doing what he was taught to do, he sees money and doesn't have the goods best thing is to market the alternative to you so you don't carry the money elsewhere.

If you are comfortable with the camry its not a bad buy but if your mind is set on the Accord look else.

He's right.

Honda is known for shafts problem.

Go for the Toyota. It's a better alternative.

Although, I'm wondering why a car dealer will be giving you bad review about one of his wares.

Saying I know so would imply that I am an expert on the subject, which I am not.

So what I stated up there is a mere opinion formed from my experience of using both brands.

i don't know why Nigerians just like hating Honda, my aunty bought a honda city 2008 in 2009, she used it till I sold it last year. The shaft never pulled out. the only leg issues the car had was the occassional change of linkages and hub. Nothing else.

Hondas are great cars. I will rather get a honda than a toyota, at least for security purpose in lagos.

Did he also tell you the 07 Camry has oil burn issues? lipsrsealed

Most cars have peculiar issues, some are preventable , some are inevitable. The issues you mentioned with honda are preventable , the issues with the Camry 07-09 4cylinder are inevitable.

That's the issue as far as you drive on Nigerian roads. You cant prevent the shaft issue. Honda is a mechanics cash cow. You drive on a bad road shaft can pull out on a good road.

Men! I’ve been on NL for many years. I’ve never seen anyone answer like you.

Very Matured and professional.

Here, we all claim professionals like say na we build Honda and Toyota but you made your point from a consumers point.
Respect Boss

Meanwhile, I Love Honda a lot, from 2007 up(accord).
Take care of your car and your car will do same. No matter the car I buy, even Toyota cars can have shaft problems. They don’t build immortal shafts na. Lol

Oga don’t answer them
A lot of the people speaking against Honda are either careless drivers that bought a Nigerian used cars or people that have never used a Honda b4 but talk based on what they are told.

My friend is using Honda Accord 1999, 6 years now. He has never changed the shaft. The worst of it is that he’s a bad guy when it comes to maintenance. So rough and yet the car still delivers.

You are a well versed mechanic. It is very different when a first user uses such a vehicle. Honda accord has issues ranging from brake failure to shaft pulling out. In a country like Nigeria were its offroading everywhere it is not advisable to get such a fragile car.

Do you know what will solve this? Google or even a road side Kazeem will tell you that Honda especially accord. If you are buying it you are doing so on your own accord.

The shaft and leg problem are only common with the baby boy and the EOD series, other versions are good.

Sorry sir, I just checked google to know if kazeem was part of the team that assembled any of the Honda’s and Toyota. I couldn’t find his name there.
I’ve checked Edmund.com, I’ve read a thousand reviews, I rarely saw a shaft problem with a Honda

My point still remains, where you bring in your car from matters also. If it’s a country that have lots of salty water. Bear that in mind, if you’re buying a Nigerian used kindly check the car well.

Im not a fan of Honda EOD personally, I love anything higher and slightly lower down to 1999

A Tip: if you’re heading a sound on the left side of your car, sometimes it’s the engine that’s shaking and not the shaft. Shake your engine, if it’s not firm, it’s actually your engine and not shaft

Each model has its wahala.

My brother I no be mechanic grin , I don't even know jack shit about cars before I bought the Accord. The shaft pulling is more rampant in Nigeria because fake parts are bound. But the 08 upwards Accord was immune to it.
