Andela pays way more than that except you are an intern or junior developer

Andela is an elite IT company just like Google, Facebook etc in Africa not every IT company can match their remuneration, intermediate developer at andela will probably earn 250+ excluding breakfast and lunch

Most developers oversea won't want to turn down offers from the FANG company so also most developers until recently won't want to turn down offer from Andela, paystack etc

In andela D0 is intern which is 108, D1 is junior which is 179, D2 is intermediate which is 250+ not sure exactly of upper levels, but I know they take home arm-robber salary, of cause tax, NHS and other deductions will still crumble the money as that's not your take home

And for the top echelon at andela, i am pretty sure their pay will only be at par with entry level devs. working for some silicon valley tech firms.

Freelance is good but the problem is how often they get work I've not really practice it much and will leave it for people in it to talk about it (hopefully they tell us the full story, not just the glorious side)

About Africa elite vs silicon valley junior the problem is not about the dev but about the economy, a nairalander recently talked about his 750k per months foreign remote job that's just barely 2000dollars probably what a very junior developer will take but make no mistake someone earning 750k in Nigeria is far far better, richer and financial stable than a folk earning $2k in USA, infact no one can survive with that in silicon valley it's like earning 100k working and living in Victoria Island or Lekki, how much will your house rent etc be?

oh yeah i got it, getting 4.5k USD monthly and living in the bay area will even be consider suicidal. I know the cost of living there is incredibly high because of the tech company.

The salary can range from 120k to 1m depending on
-Your skill set,
-years of experience,
-the company in question(best is working remotely for companies abroad)
-your role in the company,
-how urgent the product is needed
-luck and demand.
