If I were you, I'll tell my partner that I'll drop the car for a week, so the agreement should be suspended for that week(at least the car is in his compound)

After all, agreement is agreement

Nobody knows what the coming week will be 10 new cases have been confirmed. Dollar is #380, and people are not going to work like before. Schools will not resume tomorrow

Just use this week rest and watch the tides of the business......My opinion

Thank you my brother.
God will help us all and I believe anyone reading this will learn too.

The only institution that can effectively slow economic activities down is the bank; As long as the banks keeps operating Nigerians will still go out to do their thing especially the self employed and traders. People who are cooling off in the house or working from home were told to do so by their boss or they must probably will be a civil servant.

Nigerians are so stubborn that even these set of people told to go home will still go out to run their side business if they have any.

It will take shutting down the banks and market places to achieve a total lock down in the Nigeria economy - if those two aren't achievable things will continue to happen but slow till there there are some good news in the media about the pandemic situation EVEN Italy still has their banks, market places, transportation means still in operation so don't cause unnecessary panic/ fear in the minds of people.

Unnecessary panic/fear?
I'm not even sure you understood what I typed sef

Now, Uber drivers carry people from Point A to Point B. The moment there is a decline in the movement of people, it will take a toll on driver's earnings

From Monday, schools will probably be shut. This week, large church gatherings will be suspended. This is not to even talk about offices that have sent memos for some workers to work from home. Or do you think it's only bankers they carry on Uber?

I did not raise panic about the virus. I only said "If you know you won't make your rental payments because of the pandemic, give your partner his car until you feel the sphere is conducive"..

How is this panic, sir?

Are you a driver sir?

If you're, you will know this isn't about creating panic. I was in Ikeja GRA last night/evening and only managed to make two trips after waiting for long time, which was very unusual.

People will still move but the shut down order and work at home is already taking its toil.

Tommorrow might be worse as airport and schools will be closed

The hard truth is that traffic robberies are crimes of opportunity. Just about anyone will do them. Anywhere in Lagos where there is a traffic jam, at any time of the day, the youths or mechanics or Villa users or Alaaru can start attacking people. I have experienced it around mile2 five star, Orile, before 2nd rainbow. I have seen it at cms. The only thing required is a hold up. You need paranoia, and so do your riders. When riding with my kids , once we enter a traffic jam and I see loiterers I tell them to put away all their devices. I am sorry for your experience. Stay safe and try to avoid any hold ups.

They will all meet their Waterloo some day.

Thank you Sir

You have to discuss with the owner. You can’t give what you don’t have. This virus is really annoying.

This is about doing what suits you.
I have an active bolt account but stopped working with it after making enumerations of the disadvantages attached to working on bolt, I decided to work only with the app that gives a peace of the mind.
I can't display what I make here but I believe there are people who work smartly and not running around the whole state believing they are moving lagos. The highest surge on taxify is 1.9 while I have taken 3.~ severally on Uber, and an average surge I chase on Uber is 2 and above.

How can you compare 5% with 3% that has been making several killing right from Tuesday to Sunday (count it and see that's a whole 5 days of lesser stress).
You also said bolt fares are higher?
Riders claim bolt is cheaper while drivers say bolt pays higher, now tell me who is the serpent deceiving both parties and that is one of the reasons (bolt is deceitful) I dumped them.
Surge only makes their fares defer but same when no surge.
( Uber: 11/min, 60/km, 200 base fare) (bolt: 10/min, 65/km, 200km base fare). I would like to know the difference on a 20km trip.

Like I said earlier that it is whatever rocks your boat.

Yea. Peaked at 1.9x, but recently they have pushed it to 2.3x. I picked 2.3x four times this week....

I used to mix both apps. For destination mostly.
I think i have reached the stage where i can use either app alone and still smash it at d end.

I still haven't link my new car to uber. But app is active.

NB all riders have both apps now.
They compare price during surge and go for d lower one. Some riders tell me uber is now very expensive oooo. I just smile...

Uber temporarily axed my acct @ 13% cancelation. and they carry over ur cancelations.

Bolt, for every 40 trips you get, you are allowed to complete 18-20 trips, you are fine.

On Monday morning, you start afresh as regards cancelation issues.

Wateva suits you. Like I said. Knowing d intended destination is non negotiable for me.

As long as I can see where I'm heading to. Bolt is the king.
Yea but sometimes when you see ikeja, try and still ask for destination. One ikeja request landed me in ogba and another one in oshodi grin
