It's all prayers till science finds the cure.

Then prayer gets all the credit.
Science fails as usual when it comes to providing cure for virus induced diseases

Ma, after the prayer(s), kindly send in your donation(cartons of surgical mask, cartons of hand sanitizers etc.) It will be highly appreciated.

The only hope at this point is that it doesn’t kill the majority of people, that’s if it doesn’t mutate into a more virulent form or re-infection turns out worse, because we would’ve been looking at humans greatest threat to survival, which in some ways this still is.

Can’t stand those conspiracy theorists, it’s just stupidity on steroids.
ornicus:

One of my old classmates believes this is a hoax. He is quoting ridiculous news articles. He claimed that cnn reported a cure. He says lock down has been lifted. He says there is merely mass hysteria. A guy over 40 educated on a WhatsApp group with people abroad with their horror stories.

Our only hope is mass asymptomatic patients

If I was wealthy, I would find means to help the poor at this trying times by giving out free hand sanitizers and nose masks and all that petty Lil things not prophetic prayers. We live in a nation where people are so poor that Most people can't even afford a Square meal in a day, talk less of buying themselves hand sanitizers and all that, so if you're blessed with fortunes in time like this, please don't be useless.

Well, science fails and no scientist pretends about it. Scientists don’t claim raising people from the dead or growing limbs as many religious nut heads do in Nigeria.

Point is science fails sometimes, many times even but these are what they learn from to come up with solutions you guys always seem to give your genies and pastors all the credit for, even though religion has failed throughout history in times like these.

The Pandemic is as a result of negligence and failure to prioritize research into viruses as Bill Gates explained in his TED talk but nonetheless, people are working hard at it but it isn’t the religious people Nigerians give all their money to. Something so obvious and a nation is too spellbound to see.

The best you, or anyone could do is to listen to the real heroes, the virologists, epidemiologists, and doctors and nurses in the field putting their lives on the line, so as to try as best to mitigate this disaster, given the constraints Nigeria faces.

Stay at home! and try to convince those around of the pending disaster to take precaution.

And who gives the science the insight to find the cure if not God. Don't be Pharoah who under estimated the power of God and get the wrath of God.

Prayers have not been shown to be effective against the virus. In fact, prayer has never been proven to be effective against anything. It just gives people something to cling to. Thank goodness some wise people in the 1800s realized this and concentrated instead on microscopes, antiseptics, antibiotics, etc.

It's this kind of circular reasoning that makes me label people schizophrenic: why go through the trouble of creating and allowing disease, just so you can give people the insight to cure it? And the insight to viruses didn't come for all of human existence (according to Christians, 6,000 years or so) until 1800s. Just for the sake of glory? Why wasn't that same insight given to gorillas, dolphins and elephants who also suffer from diseases? "Because we're special, made in his image".

Seems like a very human centric and self-centered rationale. Then when we question the circular logic, we're threatened with: "don't test God", "and He works in mysterious ways".

Africa has the highest number of stingy and noise making billionaires.

No hand sanitizers, nose mask, gloves and test kits distribution. Nothing from them, only noise.

The one thing she did not mention is what she is going to do to help in these trying times.
There is nothing prophetic about reading out something from the bible and pretending it is profound.
The same god who was unable to prevent the spread of coronavirus is now being called upon to save us.
Strange logic.
