I have been following this argument from the onset. I think they guys that criticised the movie didn't do so objectively and the floppiness of the movie was overestimated by calling it 90's like.
I think the movie isn't that good myself but, I'll try to criticize it with a much grand argument.

Take the first scene for example;
A guy is traveling in a bullet-train that going at the speed of at least 3km/s was shot dead by a sniper from outside the train with a rifle that has max speed of 1km/s?
That is not just impossible it's absurd and a childish idea for action.
And the same pattern continued to the Very end of the movie.
Though if one ignore the too much make-believe in the movie, on may just enjoy it.

I feel your point.

Yes that too. It is too predictable.
But wait, are you even hearing yourself clearly about the science fiction part?
What would make any Sci-Fi movie a nonsensical movie is to forget the very law of science

It like cooking jollof rice: if you forget to put salt, it would still be a jollof rice, but if you forget to put rice, well, sorry what you have is just fiction. grin
Exactly what I just said, it’s a science fiction movie, none of it can/should happen irl

Lolz, although i consider the movie a flop cause of the predictable storyline. It's a SciFi movie and a such, anything goes.
Even at that, i could counter you argument by saying that the scene wasn't really as ridiculous as you put it.

The highest speed ever attained by the fastest bullet train is 400km/h. So this your atleast 3km/s is very much laughable & ridiculous (no offense Sire).

In theory, a rifle with a maximum speed of 1km/ s should hit a train moving at 400km/h. All the sniper needs is the seat position, while taking account of the wind speed & all other factors.

And one of my Box office predictions has come to pass: Bloodshot is an Epic effing BOMB!!! cheesy grin

I already said it Vin Diesel's star Power can't save this.

Imagine a comic book Movie with just $45mn budget struggling to even surpass $25mn worldwide?? shocked in 2020??
After seeing the trailer for the movie long ago, I had my doubts about the movie. From the trailer, it seemed like a universal solder wannabe.

You think this videogame shooting abi?

Hitting a standing target from a distance is hard enough talkless of a moving target at a high speed.

I've been a silent reader on this thread. I agree it's very hard to hit a moving target, but that guy's assertion of a train moving at 3km/s is outrageously false . In the real world, this train he talks about travels 3000m/s when converted to meter/second such train would be so supersonic that it would travel at 9 times the speed of sound in air . The fastest train travels at approximately 0.12km/s and not even up to 1km/s. such train doesn't exist in the real world

Firstly, it's a SciFi movie, and as such anything goes. By possibility, i only meant within the movie & that such feats weren't impossible.
In theory, the world's fastest bullet train, travels at a speed of 431km/h.
Converting this km/h to km/s, it should read thus:
431km/(60x60) seconds=431km/3600s= 0.12km/s.
A rifle has a speed of 1km/s.
So mathematically speaking, by matching both of 'em, hitting that target would be somewhat possible, but you'd also need a kinda AI aid( Don't forget, this is all within the movie).
Lastly, it's a SciFi movie, and as such, feats like that shouldn't seem impossible, if we tolerated the one from Wanted, this should be a walk in the park.

Exactly what i was hinting at, a train travelling at at least 3km/s(which means 3km is the least, & it can attain more speed than that) is a very ridiculous notion. The fastest train travels at a speed of 431km/h thus per seconds, it amounts to 0.21km/s. So it's very absurd projecting a 3km/s speed.

Okay. No worries. I though you were saying that the sniping scene was realistic.

You have cleared it up. No problems
