A Nigerian Facebook user, Onah Blessed Emmanuel spotted a group of Methodist Church women lying on the road in Ukpute, Benue State, while praying against Coronavirus.




Emmanuel who shared photos of the women praying, said he wasted no time in joining them in the prayer.

PRAYERS AGAINST CORONAVIRUS

On my way to the village, last weekend, at the boundary between the Igede and the Tiv people – that was in Konshisha – I saw these the women of Methodist Church Nigeria, Ukpute, whose photos appear underneath, with their white uniform all laid on the red sand praying completely smeared. Upon sighting them, I stopped quickly and wasted no second to join them in the prayer. They called on God to put an end to coronavirus. They asked God to preserve Igede sons and daughters and bless them wherever they are.



They prayed for Governor Samuel Ortom and the people of Benue State. They begged God to stop the killings in Benue and in other parts of the country. They expressed their happiness that I was the first among those who passed before me to stop, and they prayed for me. Mrs Jessy Obwo, the wife of the circuit minister, specifically requested the women to pray for me and appreciated me for identifying with them.



The world is on a trajectory to a devastating end, if nothing is done. A famous American elite, yesterday, charged the people of the United States to spend more time on their knees than they do on the internet.

The social media too have been awashed with pictures of doctors surrendering to God in prayers while treating Coronavirus patients.



Are these not clear statements that the solution to the global health crisis is in the place of prayer?

At least they can think unlike you who is comparing a disease that your parents and grandparents were spared from with
the one threatening everybody alive.

These people need to be quarantined and the fake pastor coordinating such disease spreading program locked up.

Women, go home. Don't be like the South Korean church

Very senseless and stupid. Stay home, stop gathering for anything and stop spreading the virus. Prayers don't heal the virus, we all know, not gonna deny. This gullible people will get us killed one day. The senseless in this continent make me wanna puke, it's like they don't even read.

I think what I wrote is referring to people like you, sometimes I write things just to expose the foolishness in people. First off how are parents and grandparents got spared when the disease did not get to this part of the world because the means of global travel is not as fast as it is today.

Secondly secondly my question is, is this the first time thing kind of thing is happening? Nope the stories are there in history written and unwritten so why all acting the world is coming to an end.

Thirdly when faced with circumstances in which people seems not to know the way out, they turn to prayer because it gives them hope to carry on. The whole world is praying silently yet they are very active looking for a solution, but here Africa you stupid lots thinks you have a special connection with the almighty Infact you see yourselves as God's own people hence this show of shame. Go around you hear silly talks about how it has been told by the men of God that it will be over this month. This past Sunday people disobeyed the order not be in a large gathering and went to church because they believe they are immune by the power of God so my friend it people like you I am referring to.

Perhaps you missing the point. Diseases such as this is as old as man. We share this planet with trillions of organism all trying to survive became a threat to another organism.
Man have encountered varieties of diseases some 10 times more deadly than what we are facing yet we survived so why people acting like world is coming to and end because of a viral out break. The media is not even helping matters by creating panic all in the bid to sell more
