kano State Government has ordered the closure of land borders and routes linking the state to other parts of the country with effect from Friday, March 27, to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.‎

Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday in Kano.

Anwar said that movements coming in and out of the state were banned ‎beginning from 12:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2020.‎

“This decision is hard but absolutely necessary, as part of precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

“We urge Kano citizens and all other Nigerians to bear with this difficult situation”.‎

According to him, land borders will be shut while the government ensure close monitoring of the situation to keep the people abreast of development.

Anwar said that the police, members of the Kano Road Transport Authority (KAROTA), Hisbah and other security agencies were mobilised to enforce compliance with the border closure.

‎The governor’s aid reiterated government commitment to adopt proactive measures to safeguard public health and protect the people against the virus.

“People must cooperate with health workers to ensure that our state is safe and the country, adhere to social distancing and stay at home as advised by health workers.‎

“People should maintain high personal hygiene, practice regular handwashing with soap under running water and ensure application of sanitisers,” the statement said.‎

I hate these silly Governors, Senators and Buhari. Now, you all are declaring everything closed but when you should have acted at first to prevent this thing from entering Nigeria, dude Buhari refused to do what was right and all the governors and senators kept mute, I'm sure they never knew COVID-19 gets to the rich before the poor.
Well, as for me, my families, love ones, extended families and every average Nigerians, we shall escape this virus by God grace.

Wasn't this same Ganduje at a wedding with Abba Kyari recently?
Nigerians should seriously brace for worse and pray for the best.

To think that Liar Mohammed was boasting that FG was ready for corona just few weeks ago annoys me more.

An informant from Aso Villa sent an SMS to Brekete family (Human right radio) in Abuja this morning that Abba Kayri is in Abuja and not in Lagos, as against the information the Presidency gave that he is in Lagos.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said

"If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place."

If mankind had adhered to this advice, the whole world won't be in this mess. Yet, it is the solution adopted by everyone.

For those that are not happy that the message was from the noblest of mankind, you can do yourself a good by kissing a high tension.

Good. He first chased away beggars from the streets. Now he has closed the borders.
By the way how can one define "borders" in Nigeria? Can we differentiate Lagos and Ogun or Ondo and Ogun; Delta/Edo; Enugu/Anambra; Abuja/Niger or Nassarawa, etc. Do normadic people need vehicles and planes to travel?
Ganduje restricted potential disaster in Kano with the street beggars. Hopefully other states can follow what some governors are doing presently.

May this shit never get to Kano, else it's going to be a cleansing program.

I have never seen 1 thing expose the flaws in so many things at the same time like Corona Virus.

1. It showed how unplanned and unprepared Nigeria is.
2. Showed how non challant the leaders are.
3. Showed how fake both religions and their leaders are.
4. Showed the extent of decay in Nigeria's Health sector.
5. Shown Nigerians that performance supercedes sentiments of Religion and tribe. I want to believe that a Northern Muslim from Katsina is the one appointed to take care of the President and Abba Kyari right? Nonsense.

When you tell them in the North that birth should be controlled, they hate on you and tell you that God takes care of Children. I wonder what it'll be like should Corona enter Kano, Kaduna or Sokoto.

Closed for how long... 1 week, 2 weeks.... 1 month, six months, 1 year, 2 years..... I laugh. We have not started yet. We have not started discussing this. We have not started finding the ways and means to keep thus country from imploding completely. What is the exit strategy of all these. This is a pressure cooker scenario.
