mekaprime:According to Einstein's theory of general relativity, wormholes are a possibility. We merely lack the technological advancements to create one. mekaprime:Wormholes are theoretically anti-gravity, and by proxy, anti-positive energy. Suffice to say, It's theoretically impossible to travel fast in a quantum field held by anti-gravitas of negative energy. mekaprime:You asked the wrong question. It should be, "How will travelling through a wormhole affect living organisms?" The answer is difficult to explain, but Interstellar did a good job of explaining it. mekaprime:Understanding and figuring out Black holes will help mankind create wormholes. mekaprime:By figuring out how to see a Black hole. mekaprime:Watch Interstellar. mekaprime:Theoretically, Wormholes cannot occur naturally. mekaprime:In Interstellar, Future humanity created the wormhole and Tesseract to allow present humanity to survive, and beget future humanity. Repeat ad infinitum. mekaprime:Theoretically, yes. mekaprime:You're not thinking broadly, mate. Einstein's Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics are all around us. We see them everyday, interact with them, use them to navigate and to manufacture things. Wormholes, and space travel are the only aspects mankind presently lack the technological means to address. Give it another millenium and mankind will surely get there. 3 Likes |

Kaycee7: All CW shows na shite... Me if I see shite I go call am shite, irrespective of whether I dey follow am or not.. The case of flash and Supergirl na jus say by the time it turned to shite, man's was already in too deep, after seeing two to three seasons I cannot jus abandon it... So na to see the Shite Ad Infinitum We dey with dem till the end |

Bratking: I used to respect Mekaprime. The guy fall my hand seriously. Maybe he doesnt know that scientists have praised the scientific accuracy of interstellar. Interstellar is fiction but it go the realistic parts right. |

Bloodshot 2/10. Low budget, B action movie. It is like they saved the budget for the last fight scene. The plot is simple and daft. The cinematography is dead. Then the obvious sexing up of the 2 females in the main character's life. It is like a retarded and poorer version of Micheal Bay directed this movie. The thing I hate most about this movie is Vin Diesel. The guy cannot act. He should change his name to Vin Palm Oil since the only thing he knows how to do is flex his yams 2 Likes |

Born2Freak: Supergirl was decent at the beginning.., just like Flash... But unlike Flash Supergirl became shite much faster, while Flash was good for like three seasons Supergirl was good for only like one, or maybe two... When the shows started turning to shite they thought up the whole Crossover stuff.. The very first Crossover was exclusive to only flash and Supergirl, and it was actually great.. |

SolitudeDNA: Thanks for this my good man. Our people say what you don't know or are confused about, you ask questions, and those who know, would gladly show you the way. I never really saw it that way. I've have nothing more to add, and as such, i rest my case. |

Born2Freak: Are scientist gods? no they aren't, they are human beings like you & I. They got to were they are by questioning what is. When you ask questions those who know better would help you understand. So because they said so, i shouldn't ask questions, but should rather take it hook line & sinker. Besides, the concept itself(wormhole) is just a theory and as such can be debunked by another scientist. The almighty Einstein's static universe was debunked by Edwin Hubble. Fleischmans Nuclear fusion was also debunked. |

blackjack21: let's not forget the original discussion here. The discussion was that all the scenes of movies you listed obeys the laws of physics of which i disagreed. That was the bone of contention. At the bolded, i concur, but what am trying to say is that sci-fi movies like the one we are currently discussing isn't all solely facts or science and that most times exaggerations are fused into it. The whole movie was to a large extent, based on the bootstrap time paradox. Does this said paradox exist even in theory? , is there anything in physics that supports time paradox & time travel?. But the whole movie to a large extent, leverage on the aforementioned. So my good man, telling me that all the scenes of the movie interstellar confirms totally to the laws of physics is a statement I'd find very hard to digest. SolitudeDNA I'd also like your inputs on my bolded. |

mekaprime: Ogbeni, there are two types of science fiction. Hard science fiction and soft science fiction. Hard is scientifically rigorous despite parts of it being fuction. While soft is less so. Interstellar is a hard science fiction where the physics side of space travel is kept as realistic as possible. Yes, there are parts that aren't possible or real. A wormhole or blackhole will more likely tear apart a spacecraft. The ex machina of a time travelling tessaract is also unreal. I hope you get my point. |

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by mekaprime: 3:30pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
Born2Freak: Now you've spoken well, like a logical thinker who you are. The initial discussion was that all the scenes of the movie obeyed the laws of physics, of which i disagreed. Thanks for pointing out the tearing apart the craft by the blackhole. It was based on such observations that i built my case in defense of the initial discussion. If there is a possibility that the craft would be ripped apart by the wormhole, then the humans inside stood no chance of survival, even if they did, they wouldn't survive the radiation burn. You see, you've made another wonderful new contribution(hard SciFi & soft sci-fi) which is worth checking out for knowledge sake, Same goes for blackjack21 and SolitudeDNA. That's how it should be here instead of folks throwing tantrums here and there. |
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by mekaprime: 3:36pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
blackjack21: I didn't call it broken. I said scenes and permit me to add concept that does confirm to the laws of physics. In my post were you quoted this i said the Bootstraps time paradox. |

Born2Freak:He blundered by picking on the most realistic sci-fi to criticize. The way he took time to outline his error-riddled verbose as if he actually knew what he was saying, was particularly annoying. Urghhh.. Nigga has been very irritating lately. |

Born2Freak:Lol. Very true. The film itself is not really that bad. The actions scenes are decent. The story is rubbish though. |

Born2Freak: I recalled the time you, koicereloaded and beorn took part in a sci-fi discussion when this thread used to be filled with intelligent discourse. I can't recall all the details but I remember Hard sci-fi and soft sci-fi being mentioned a lot, and Interstellar and Children of Men being accurately categorized as Hard sci-fi. I leant a lot that day. |
