If obito, who could control 100% kurama, put Yagura a mizukage and a perfect jinchuuriki in genjutsu and controlled him for years, why was he still crushed by minato who used only ftg and rasengan?
Now, substitute Itachi for Obito in that fight. How will itachi counter an instantaneous attack that obito with a mangekyou sharingan couldn't detect? What will happen is Itachi will get tagged before he activates his susano'o then minato will safely and instantaneously ram a simple rasengan into itachi's ass. Unless you'll tell me itachi's ms is qualitatively superior to Obito's, which will be utterly ridiculous. Yotuska blade and yata mirror are pretty useless in this fight because minato can easily teleport to avoid yotsuka and disregard yata mirror defense with the same teleportation. Tsukuyomi will be rendered useless with senjutsu.
They are only two outcomes should itachi try to fight minato; He quickly gets killed by minato, or he survives long enough to die of exhaustion.
If you can't bring up a better argument as to how itachi will counter all of these and emerge victorious, see this as my final reply in the discussion.

The way the guy is hyping itachi and underrating obito is funny as hell.No doubt Itachi is great and a goat in his own way but Minato is a bigger goat! obito has even done far more impressive things than itachi. I'm sure we didn't watch the same naruto coz the 4th raikage that was way stronger than Bee was beaten in seconds by minato.. He went on to acknowledge minato as the strongest shinobi.
Itachi would be dead in seconds if he fought the 4th raikage.. His jutsus are not suited to fight a fast shinobi.. In fact the sharingan has always and will always be beaten by speed.

A kindred spirit. Season 3 really upped the anté and I hope they continue with this streak of every season being better than the last. I couldn't even decide which character was my best. Every character was interesting and intriguing, even characters that appeared for just an episode. Sometimes, people just can't appreciate beauty and it's really sad.

He'll need some massive character development to be worthy of lacing Isaac's boots, talk more of facing off against him. Hector might be a skilled Forgemaster but Isaac was always mentally his senior, even more so now that he's grown wiser during his travels.
