As at 29th March 2020, COVID-19 is affecting 199 countries and territories around the world. It has now been reported on every continent except Antarctica.

The United State has the most confirmed cases at 140,960. It has 2, 457 deaths arising from the disease and 4, 435 recovered cases.

The US is followed by Italy. Italy has confirmed cases totalling 97,689, and 10, 779 deaths and 13, 030 recovered cases.

In Africa, South Africa has the highest confirmed cases. It has 1, 280 testing positive. The country has recorded 2 deaths and 31 recoveries.

Following South Africa is Egypt. The North African country has recorded 609 confirmed cases, 40 deaths, and 132 recoveries.
Nigeria is placed 11th in Africa with 111 confirmed cases, 1 death and 3 recovered cases.

SARS-CoV-2 infection causes a respiratory illness called COVID-19.

The World Health Organization (WHO) publish their latest confirmed numbers on this situation dashboard every day.

Get your fact right before posting so you don't escalate the already existing tension, it's 17k plus new cases and not 52k as you earlier ascertain.

Placing Nigeria 11th in Africa with 111 cases: How many Nigerian have been tested so far? You will be amazed statistically when atleast half of Nigerian population got tested. Some people said it is unwise to go for testing unless you develop symptoms. My question is what about those among us who're usually asymptomatic of any disease or infection?
