More babies coming into this world right away. An idle mind will always think of lustful things.

These countries are on lock down but the medical and food supply chains are going on. The supermarkets are on. They have strict guidelines for it to take place. It is not just prison yard for everyone to starve to death and no medicine for babies.
Essential services are on too in Nigeria
Movement of food & other essential products were not stop. Didn't u read the president text??

For those that have been shouting world war III up down this is world war III, now deal with it
Re: 5 Things That Will Happen Due To Lockdown In Nigeria by Nobody: 9:50am On Mar 30, 2020
This post looks gloomy but one can agree. People can't afford to be on lockdown, simple. People don't have food saved up somewhere, power supply is comatose at best. How many people have a reliable source of water supply? And knowing Nigerians everything will become 3 times more expensive so as to exploit others. So what do we expect? It's as as it is in Nigeria already, people were resorting to crime to survive before the lockdown. There are no assurances that COVID-19 goes away in 14 days so lockdown could stretch for weeks, months even.
We're sitting on a ticking time bomb. God help us.

Keep your negative opinions to yourself.

I see;
Nigerians developing their skills,
Learning new skills
Time to think/meditate about ones life: see your failures and be a better version of yourself.
More time for yourself and your maker.
A break from the activities of life.
Time to strengthen your religious belief / faith.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one
I'd really love to share this thought /opinion if only this would hold realistically. grin

All these you've mentioned are products of a TRANSFORMED MINDSET. Yet, a TRANSFORMED MINDSET isn't acheivable when the stomach is empty and the effort for survival is hopeless atleast to lots of Nigerians who depend on the street to survive.

and the criminals will be shot dead instantly. Simple!
You can't come and be threatening us with crimes and armed-robbers when the FG is making sure to protect your life.

In this case, I Concur
Do not think that the police will save you at these times, there's going to be a riot... Or worse a revolution.

Better to get armed, because you won't see the police anywhere.

Did you read actions going on in other States? Must everything be about the President?

Some States have task force breaking shops selling food and restaurants.

What safety measures have been put in place to safeguard the lives of food suppliers and vendors? What about safety kits for them?

I just want other States to take note and work towards this to prevent a catastrophe.

Truth is bitter... My people, I gotta be frank with y'all... What is coming ain't child's play at all...

The great depression that happened in the 1930's would be child's play compared with what's gonna hit the world during this corona virus crisis...

Even Americans that have been promised $1200 per person knows tougher times are ahead...Now Donald Trump is thinking of Quarantining The whole of New York - The World's most influential and powerful State.

Now even before this corona crisis, nigerians were finding it hard to survive, now tell me how will the jobless and poor ones survive during this lockdown?

I am very comfortable by God's grace but I fear for the days ahead... I've exhausted half of the foodstuffs I thought would last me for a month in just a week....Now I eat a lot since I'm home 24/7...And business is on halt.

Nigerians, brace up for The Great Depression Reloaded.

Alexa please play me Heal the world by Michael Jackson.

If people decide to do otherwise, it is because of our nature as black people & it got nothing to with the government! Whites are helping themselves, but blacks are destroying themselves. Government has made the best decision as far as this corona virus issue is concerned! Stay at home is the ultimate solution worldwide for now. Libya have only one case because they were proactive and implemented stay at home at an earlier stage. Go to Ghana, no movement.

you're right criminals will be shot but I pray it doesn't get to that because an hungry man is an angry man (humans when faced with death by either starvation or terminal disease would lose all free of death and choose to drag as many people as they can with them. Its manageable if it's in tens but what happens when over a hundred or a thousand people have the exact same idea do you really think the police or army can stop them)

The problem of this country is not only the government but her citizens, will the citizens adhere to president directive? No! & they start blaming govt.

Where Did I encourage no movement. I talked about looking into keeping the essentials flowing. You agreed with me and talking upside down again.

Keep essentials flowing. Simple using strict healthy guidelines which require safety supplies.

Social distancing means nothing without testing and isolating infected ones.

You're wasting your time trying to convince haters of Nigeria, people who wish Nigeria should be having a million cases and say 100,000 dead so that they can insult Nigeria, Buhari and Tinubu. They don't even care if they and their families would be affected too
How is he an hater? Because he stated the truth? Sometimes I wonder if you are braindead but I guess you doing everything in your power to be seen as a member of the bmc crew. I can link you up to their NC leader. He is my neighbour and gets paid in 100's of thousand monthly. By the way hope you ain't doing yours for free

very decent question.
Nigerians lacks the savings culture the more reason we are always scared of losing a day without struggle.
What is there to save when you can barely survive on ur earnings?
Have u ever been to Nigeria?

Untimely death will not be your portion!

You speak my mind!!!!
Somebody is hungry, you want him to think straight? Even Jesus Christ fed over 5,000 people with loaves of bread and fish before He started feeding them with spiritual food (words of God)
Don't you think He knows what He's doing?

Must government provide everything?
Anyone supplying food will not give the profit to govt and it his in their best interest to at least get what they need to sustain their business at this point. It is like that all over. If you can't get what u need to run your business now, suspend the business, others who got what it takes to run it will do. Govt has stated his own part to ensure strict compliance to safety guidelines to those they will be coming in and out of restricted states to supply food.

You speak based on your reality. This is not the reality of the average man on the street. What you are doing is like saying everybody can use a good phone or a phone is cheap because you can afford it.

Dont waste your energy. Nigerians love living in denial.

I talk with more than 4 people yesterday and once you say anything on the virus or the economic effect, you just hear them saying God forbid, it will not be our portion. So personally i think most Nigerians lack simple logic reasioning.

What is coming is scary. Even countries like US is scared of what the virus will do to their economy.

Nigeria that is standing on one leg are still acting like this is a childs play.
The reason Nigerians are not scared like US is because most Nigerians are no longer afraid of death. The country is already hard before this Coro guy came in.
