Just look at the tattered and old ragged files on the table and they are displaying something that computer village boys can do. They didn't even do hologram, yet they are showing off.

Some days ago, I was at a secondary school in Surulere (across the bridge from the Island) in Lagos for a friend's event where he is educating secondary students about the perils of peer pressure. I honestly wasn't expecting what I saw as the state of this secondary school.
It left me wondering if this was a school or a dump yard. Why in heaven's name are Nigerian leaders looking the other way while the young ones study in this sorry environment?

The attached pictures are what I saw. This is no secondary school. It's a hopeless shanty. I hope this gets to front page and attracts the necessary attention.

People will be shouting APC APC APC Yoruba Yoruba Yoruba while sloshing through this just to look for a job to feed their hopeless children. I'm an Igbo man and I hate what Rochas Okorocha is reducing Imo to. Under Sam Mbakwe, Imo build it's own airport with 0 federal assistance or money and local engineers and architects. Today we stand toe to toe with Osun and Zamafara to beg for money from a cattle rearer with no education!

How come Zoom that has been in existence for how long is now historical.

My coy has been using this for our district meeting since time immemorial.

Zoom is just a form of connecting people of the same org /company who are in far distance to each other for deliberations etc.

Kini big dealhuh huh cool

Is it any small thing Lagos did they will come online and be broadcasting. Some state are doing greater things than this. They dash one man #5, they will rush online and start comparing herself with America, they view their wives online, they will still rush online and be shouting and yelling their governor. Abeg, Lagos should be better than this childishness

dude nobody closed your shallow ports, the excuse is just silly.. goto any shipping company to confirm , perhaps if you people had focused on going to school instead of breaking pipeline about and kidnapping people you would had competed favorably
What you have said is the truth and nothing but the truth. With pirates, armed robbers, bandits (aka militants) everywhere no port can operate successfully in SS.

Pls STOP displaying your village life online...

My children attend classes online.

You hear me, my children in 6th & 10th Grade study every day online because of this Coronavirus stuff.

A whole Lagos Government is showing off. Why can't they do it for all the children/students in the state. Shameless people...

Rubbish!
They are not boasting in the technology, they are saying that governance in Nigeria has crossed a Rubicon. Let us celebrate progress however modest - our personal achievements should not obscure the progress of governance as it moves from physical file carrying meetings to digital online meetings.

Hopefully it will continue so that pending files for e.g awaiting final C of O signatures will be treated.

I swear, this "news" is extremely disgusting... If they call this innovation, then our public sector is still in complete darkness

chozzy:
.
See ehn, Naija civil servants are very backward, I swear.
Virtual meetings that some of us in the private sector got exposed to over 15yrs ago
is still a big surprise to them.

I hope other Africans on this forum don't make mockery of us.

Shame on The Nations Newspaper for finding this crab newsworthy.
