My fellow Lagosians, you shall all survive!!!!
And to a poster above me calling someone an animal because some people came out, I guess you are the Animal!!!! So because of lockdown, you expect Nigerians not to come out?
Is it not Ireland giving their citizens €350 a week to stay at home? What has your Government done for you rather than tell you to wash your hands with sanitizer!!!
Because you have the resources to lock yourself inside does not mean others does....

Is it not this same government some are criticising for not taking the decision to lock down d nation early enough? Some are saying there shd not be lock down... I guess if we are to advise d govt, they wld be confused... it looks like unity will be difficult in this country

Mehn....once took Coach from Abuja to Lagos. The traffic on the way was crazy, before we reach Ibadan, 4 hours sitting in traffic, should have reached Lagos by 5pm...na 10pm we still dey for road. Everywhere dark, had no knowledge of Lagos at all. My friend had arranged a driver to pick me up but my phone had died.

So, by 10.30pm - driver was calling the next two stops, Berger/Ojota. I did not have an idea where to get off. I just hear Berger and my spirit said descend. I got off the coach. Walked 15 yards and I met my friend's driver who called my name. Haba. my Angel in disguise.

Stop being sentimental. It counter productive to put people in your locality in trouble. I understand the rate of poverty and calling people animal for looking for food is uncultured but bia my brother corona is very deadly and is not logical with all this our talk. Let us cooperate and ensure we keep the advice even though we are looking for food.

Doesn't the picture shows that Nigerians are keeping to the advice? Corona is deadly TRUE but hungry is more deadlier!

Now, it is working.

And those countries you mentioned plus USA refused to lockdown in time, fearing the effect on the country's economy. They thought it was child's play. Now they know better - they all learnt the hard way.

God keep us all.

Swingate:
This lock down won't help much it failed in Italy and the UK, the best thing is for government to set up a place in Ondo state or Ogun to move all suspected cases nation wide to till they are tested.
Then the positive ones will be kept and treated while the negative ones will be released.

More importantly, everybody in Ireland who has an income, pay their taxes. They dont bribe tax officers to reduce their taxes. How much tax are these grumblers paying - willingly?

My own grouse is the House of Rep people shamelessly buying latest Camry at this time.

Tell me any country with Corona outbreak that is not on lockdown? What have you been doing all these why? Being useless to yourself and society? Just a day after lockdown you crying no money, maybe if you spent more of your precious time learning skill or doing something meaningful, instead of applying paint on your face and creating stupid topics on Nairaland, you will have food to eat.
Next time be constructive in your criticism, don't just type rubbish with your Android 4.0 phone.
