My names are Nice Micheal,

I am sharing my ordeal currently facing with STANBIC IBTC Bank.

I opened my salary bank account since February 2020, but due to the nature of my job which did not allow me to have access to apply for my bank card (ATM CARD). i think if a bank account is opened, automatically a bank card is issued along with it as guided by the CBN rules.

I had tried every means and wasted more than #500 airtime to contact ALL STANBIC CUSTOMER CARE LINES and even their EMAILS which they have not respond since yesterday. STANBIC CUSTOMER CARE LINES.

I tried their *909# which my account number always show up to transfer funds to friends and families to be able to cash out funds via Local POS Vendors around my locality in Ancient home Lekki, Lagos. But this USSD service of *909# which am about to always finish transfer will give me an automatic response or feedback that CUSTOMER HAS NO PROFILE.

This is what we as a Nigerian are always fighting daily, instead of employing the right people to intelligent places in work environments, Na to put OGA AT THE TOP sons and daughters with ZERO IQ to help the business to move on positively.

Please, someone should help me with the CBN email to escalate this poor service by STANBIC IBTC, if possible they go back to the PENSION SCHEME which Nigerians know them for.

Please, NAIRALANDERS , COME TO MY RESCUE OOOOOOOO. MY LANDLADY WILL KICK ME OUT OF MY RENTED APARTMENT TODAY.

STANBIC IBTC can call me to my alternative mobile line - 08028125905 because 9mobile which has no or poorest network service is Ancient Home of Lekki is not helping too. I have to go very far near a 9Mobile mast to receive 3 Bars to be able to call and receive daily SMS.

Banks are currently running skeletal services cos the are staff human too.
Stanbic takes security seriously...you need to be in their branch in person.

You must go to your branch in person to setup internet banking.
You are still talking about how intelligent u are instead of looking for ways to do the right thing.

Dude you are dumb and you don't even know it. Someone gave you the best advice and you are still here lamenting thrash...Aren't you aware that banks now run skeletal service and as such there won't be full compliment of core staff in head office and branches alike..But you won't know, cos your dumb to read the message but you attack the messenger...Cheers

Try to be more structured and stop being rude at banks or people. If you had been more relaxed you would have known why your ATM card is not ready.

GTBank. The best in Africa and always technological driven. STANBIC IBTC formerly is not a bank for retail banking but PENSION / INSURANCE RELATED BANKING.

All you guys who are supposed to help this guy should read carefully what he posted. he complained of *909# not working while he already opened a bank account with them and customer care have not replied emails sent and also wasted airtime on voice calls to them.

You do not to be in the domiciled branch of any GTBANK to use their USSD *737# as you guys working for STANBIC IBTC claimed.

@ NICEMICHEAL, GO close your account after all this CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN if they can find a way out to help to access your funds.
