I am happy to break to you, my good people of Lagos, the news of the release today of 11 more patients from our facility in Yaba. They have fully recovered and have tested negative to COVID-19 and have been allowed to return home to their families.

The patients include two females and nine males. Their results came out negative in two rounds of tests.

I want to use this opportunity to, once again, thank our frontline health workers and other professionals for their service.

Let me reiterate that this is not the time to relax, but to maintain our vigilance against #COVID19 because of the community infection that we are beginning to see.

Again, I assure you that at the end of it all, we will hoist a flag of victory - with your cooperation and by the grace of the Almighty.

Nigeria is teaching Corona Virus a lesson of its life. While they are dying in thousands in the so called developed nations, Nigeria is treating and discharging formerly infected patients. We are not just giant of Africa, we are giant of the world.

Our leaders are not arrogant like Donald Trump who has continued his boasting, chest beating and spewing trash while Americans have continued to die in thousands. We have recorded TWO DEATHS so far and treated and discharged many that means whatever we are doing about the COVID-19, we are doing it well. So, USA, Italy, Spain, France and others should get book and biro, get table and chairs and sit down in a class while Major General Muhammadu Buhari and our Starboy Babajide Sanwo-Olu teach them CRS 101: Introduction to Crisis Management.

I maintain that there is something about our makeup as a people that makes it difficult for the Corona virus to survive in the Nigerian and/or black body.
That is why this total lockdown is ill-conceived and poorly thought out.
The world should be using our survivors as a case study of what in us disrupts the pathogenesis of the disease because virtually all the fully resident Nigerians that tested positive have fully recovered.

I think it's just grace...blacks are dying abroad too. Even God knows we don't have what it takes to fight this battle. Our case is like the case of a tailess cow, and you know what they say: Cow wey no get tail, na God dey help am chase fly. I pray we don't fall short of His grace
