I don't like capitalism that much but I believe Dangote started the refinery with secured loans from the banks before the buy in of the government. Why this cry baby on about this Innossin motors grant from the government. Let him secure a loan if he is a good creditor, start the business and get the government buy in if he so believe in his business plan.

Does the government have the money Innoson is requesting for? Absolutely Yes!

My Advice
If Innoson is sure he can produce the ventilators within the stipulated time, the government should try him with half of what he demands (#2b). If he's able to deliver, pay him to produce more. Not just for Nigeria, maybe for Africa. it's win-win for both parties.

But Dangote will depend on Niger delta oil well to function

While I consider Dangote an artificial (USD) billionaire, the innoson guy is just too weak with his approach.
The example of Dangote refinery isn't comparable to a plague situation Innoson is attempting to mask as a help to government. he has no reputation in medical equipment manufacturing and that's another minus for him.

Dangote refinery isn't waiting entirely on the assurance Nigerian govt for oil or patronage. He is exploiting the willingness to Lagosians to open their own backyard to investors and the access that comes with Lagos water. Also of importance is the fact that Oil is available offshore around the Lagos Benin Republic axis and worldwide. That makes it easy for him to welcome crude oil vessel into Lekki axis and keep his oil refining beast running.

All these people above are still suffering from divide and rule, typical Nigerians.

Ventilator is not an essential commodity like crude oil used to power your cars every single day..

Nigeria and their reasoning GM, Ford and other car manufacture company was force by US government to start producing ventilator.
