To be fair, the OP's problem was poorly worded on purpose and could never make any reputable exam, but I will still stick with the answer being A. 198.

And as for your example above, again it is poor grammar and there can only be one answer which is 2024. For the others to hold successfully you would need to pluralize i.e.
