The money is for preparation for the worst, while hoping for the best. In case of an outbreak, that is not the time to run looking for money but to have things on ground to stop the spread.

Lagos is way more prepared. Since you don't know and I don't want to spoon feed you. Go and check how many testing centres we have in Nigeria and how many are in Lagos. Many states still don't have isolation centres, go and check how many Lagos has. Mention areas Lagos State have been incompetent let us see!

The testing centre is being built by NCDC. The PPE from Jack Ma has been distributed. Rivers has not said they need more. The money to Lagos is to support Lagos State ongoing efforts. What efforts need to be supported in Rivers? Mention what Wike is doing that need FG's support. Healthcare is primarily State and LG' function. Can we at least ask what they are doing before dragging FG? Did Wike tell us what he need the money for or just angry they didn't give him?

How many cases of corona virus are in other states compared to Lagos? If the virus is contained in Lagos then it can be contained in other places, Lagos is like the New York of Nigeria, same reason why USA government moved all resources to fight the outbreak in New York.

For structure on ground, a 200 bed isolation centre is on ground even though the state has only one case. The testing centre is being built presently. So what exactly do Wike want the money for?

The money (20k) being shared has nothing to do covid-19 intervention fund, rather it is Conditional Cash Transfer programme money. The disbursement was delayed this year as none of the beneficiaries received anything this year so far. They used to pa them every two months before (5k per month, that's 10k every two months). But since they haven't been paid this year, FG directed those in charge of payments to pay 4 months which is 20k.
Osun state was to start this week and I will get pictures tomorrow. That money is not for everyone, it is for those who were already enrolled for over a year now with two types of plastic Id cards.

I REPEAT! The intrinsic value of the Naira is crude oil in the Niger Delta. Without oil nobody will trade with or lend Nigeria money. It is the crude oil that gives people whatever confidence they have. Once oil prices are down that confidence evaporates, mostly when you have a government like the present one.
