Like the topic says, what has the lockdown made you see in a different way or made you realise about yourself, family, friends, work, business, etc.?

For me, I wish I had bought all those hard copy books and board games I have being meaning to get back to, like scrables and checkers and learning how to play chess. Right now, even ludo would be heavenly. I am tired of browsing and reading ebooks all day.

Found out my first child can cook soup and jollof rice without any form of assistance, I always thought they only knew how to fry egg, cook indomie and make eba.

In business, the take out guys( suya, sharwarma joints, pizza spots) are making more money now. Most sit in businesses(restaurants, hotels, eateries) are closed.

Please add yours.

We've all seen how useless our govt can be.

Thanking God that the virus arrived here late when the awareness was high and we believe that the virus is real unlike our American brothers. Secondly, thanks to the fact that most of those that has the virus have travel history to high risk area and there were late efforts in place to check them otherwise, if the virus can get to a person living in a face-face house, in congested Ajegunle, the rate it will spread will be alarming just like it spread among New Yorkers when they ignored the virus. See how people are dying like chicken.
I wish the lockdown should continue and govt should do more to the people not just giving them small rice. And lastly, let me call on those good spirited individuals to rise up and do something to their neighbours, I m against donations to the FG or state. If you want to donate to govt, donate to your LG. (imagine what will happen if someone donate 1b to a LG) better still, donate directly to your neighbours. I this applies to Religious bodies, this is the time to show the love you've bn preaching for centuries. Give to your members that have challenges and let members share among themselves. Together we shall win this battle

Well, I took on a virtue project coordination job and found that I liked it. Now I've gone back to reading those PM books I left unread for a whole year and seriously thinking of getting certified.

I realized that I'm a bona fide loner...totally enjoying the lockdown as there is no need to make any attempts to socialize.

Well, I realized that Nigeria healthcare system will greatly improve after this pandemic. If not in monetary investment (since there is high probability of stealing all those donated cash left over) but in medical supplies. A lot of NGOs, banks and other organisations are donating a lot of medical equipments and supplies to the make shift isolation centres being created. Equipment and supplies such as patient monitors, cranked beds, bedside cabinets, infraRed thermometers, isolation gowns, etc will not be thrown away after this Covid saga, most govt owned hospital will get them. Also, the old people in the govt will be more concerned about improving the system as a whole.

Lastly, there is so much to be grateful for in this dear earth, family, good health, love, money, freedom....even our daily needs. I can't even hear someone cough without my eyes widening again grin.

I forgot to add the beauty of DIY. Finally fixed the noisy fan, the stiff gas ignition, the loose door knob...

It is well.

That we need to be humble - we walk around and act as if we have it all figured out, yet we ain't know shìt. Our world changed at a blink of an eye, life is showing us whose boss.

I can actually stay days and no sex.

I’m starting to see life from another angle.

You can keep yourself busy and happy if you really want to.

I realized “come to my place” shouldn’t be for sex alone as most men have programmed it to be. You two can talk and you’ll get to find out “who” that person really is..also you'll learn more about life from a third person angle.

My children grew up and I didn't really notice, because we now had special time to talk and I marvel at what they know....

I baked cake for the first time and it was near to perfect....

I got to patch holes in the house, sun dry our different mattresses and fix a TV...

Many more that I can't remember now,jare....

It was simple. Mine didn't need oiling. I just moved the upper and lower cups covering those screw a bit away from touching the bottom or top and screw them tight. The noise was because the screws were loose and the cups kept touching the roof and the bottom of the fan when in motion. Simply moved them away abit and screw tightly. grin

It has opened my eyes that nothing is life is permanent
- Some people already calling me that they've slashed their salaries, some lost their jobs, some aren't even sure if they still have a job or not grin

Re-learnt that most important thing in life is Family
- Spoke to more family members & other relatives that I haven't spoken to in a decade.
- Friends which I haven't spoken to for 4 years called, even some far longer.

To always save for the rainy day
- Most people who spend everything as money comes will definitely cry this period.

Also that Nigerians are actually poorer than I thought, I always underestimate our level of poverty until now. All those cars in Ikoyi use to cloud my judgement.

The lockdown has opened my eyes to so much, not like i was surprised sha, because i know that life is characterize by unexpected events, in the blink of an eye everything can change.

All those things we thought were of extreme importance like clubbing, football, entertainment etc are meaningless right now.

For the first time, humanity are combating one enemy that threatens our very existence.

People are beginning to understand the existential meaning of life.

No more fancy stuff, Surviving is the most important thing right now.

Above all God is the ultimate, we have to return to him
For him to show us his mercy.

It has exposed how your so called government doesn't give a damn about your welfare

It has shown how they are willing to sacrifice your lives just to portray this Nigeria as an advanced country in the eyes of the white devils

It is also a testament that we are living at the end of days

It shows nothing is going to remain the same after this
