The Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Bishop Godfrey Onah was Seen Crying on his knees as he Kisses the Crucifix on Good Friday.

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover.




While officiating the Eucharistic Celebration, Bishop Onah Knelt Down and Kissed the Crucifix and after kissing the Crucifix, He started Crying before the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Torixus Confider named Mr. Ikechukwu Ayogwu told our correspondent that the Catholic Bishop Couldn't holdback his tears because of the Outbreak of Coronavirus that have kept many Faithful Away from attending the Mass of Good Friday.

"The Bishop was too emotional because the Coronavirus Outbreaks have killed thousands of People Globally and have Caused hunger in life of most Suffering Citizens of Countries observing Lockdown Order." Ikechukwu Said




He continued by saying that "Bishop Onah is a Kind of Priest that stays with his People, he knows how life treats the Catholic faithful who hardly find Food to Eat before the Lockdown Order and now Markets in Enugu has been shutdown. Many People are currently suffering More than People Diagnosed with Covid-19 infection. the Bishop cried because of hunger and level of Death due to Coronavirus." He Concluded.

Bishop Onah has been known to be one of the most Humble Catholic Bishop in Africa, his Gesture of love for his Flocks as he has been Seen Showcasing his love to People Just as Jesus showed to the World.




Recall on 27 January, 2020 the Bishop was seen Traveling on motorcycle to a Remote Perishes within the Diocese of Nsukka.
The Bishop was said to have jumped down from his car, boarded a bike not minding his socio-status and made his way to his destination. Vanguard Reported

During the celebration of Mass, The Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Most Rev. Godfrey Igwebuike Onah has told every Christian and all men of goodwill within this period of Covid-19 pandemic that to stay safe does not in any way suggest that they should stay away from their loved ones.

Bishop Onah made the call on Friday in Nsukka through a release by the Director, Social Communication Commission of the diocese Rev. Fr. Eze Matthew.
