I was surprised to receive a message requesting me to register my number again in the whatapp messenger app to chat.

I tried registering and I got a message saying I have been banned from using what's app. I tried RE registering all to no avail. Does anyone have similar experience?

Message their support mail and they'll fix it. Mine was banned last year too and I got to fix it by mailing them.

This shit happened to me when I was testing a foreign number I got.

Stop using WhatsApp pro, GB WhatsApp and other third party WhatsApp.

Send a message to WhatsApp email address that your account has been banned. They will as expected reply with an automatic email that they would get across to sorting it. In about 6hrs, they would send you a link to redownload WhatsApp and you would be able to use your number.
Your chats will have vanished though but you will have your account back.

You might be using some unofficial app, or spamming.
This can lead to a ban on WhatsApp account.

Maybe it's because you have been spreading fake news, they can do that now, have you been guilty of that?

Making use of GB whatsapp and Yowhatsapp alone is enough to make them ban you.

But no harm in trying, pressurize their support even if at the end they dont unban you at least they should let you which of the policy guidelines that you violated for future prevention and avoidance.

You're scammer and have been spamming alot of people and they reported you that's why WhatsApp brought down your number, even if you write WhatsApp to eternity they won't activate your number again except you register another number and start your spamming again and won't take long for them to take down the second number because your phone is now on their database

Nigerians just like concluding very fast over what they have little or no knowledge about. See how everyone is fast saying the op was using his whatsapp for 419 or forwarding fake news asif they knew about all that for sure. Only God can save us in this country. With the kind of way most people reason.

Seems you don't know what is GBwhatsapp. WhatsApp can block your number if you switch it between the main WhatsApp and GBwhatsapp. Vice verse....

This has happened to me, in my case i was using business whatsapp,
one cause of it is forwarding msg that contain url link to too many user, asking people to click on a certain link to visit a page.

it will be reverted back after two months

if you are using business whatsaap, uninstall it, and install the standard whatsapp
