The Judge Refused To Listen To All The Claims Of Awolowo,The Kabiyesi Could Not Believe His Eyes,It Was as If He Was Dreaming,Justice Pollard Finally Said That The Evidences Present Before Him Is Enough To Convince Him That Kabiyesi Samuel Adeniran Asusumasa Atewogboye II was Guilty Of The Crime, He was Therefore Sentenced To Death By Hanging Alongside His Accomplices But Daniel Ojo Was Freed As There Was No Enough Evidence To Point Out His Involvement In The Gruesome Murder.

My only concern is that even after these years and the level of education of the SW ritual killings is still common in skull mining Republic.

I would be glad if someone with a good understanding of the psycholog of an average SW explain to us why ritual killing is pervasive in SW. I am just curious and want to learn.

And if we don't have lawyers that are willing to defend the bad guys in court, we might as well dispense of the whole legal system, and return to the good old days of trial by ordeal, and mass lynchings, of anyone suspected to be guilty...without arguing whether they are innocent.

That a lawyer agrees to defend a bad person is not a commentary on the lawyer's morals...infact it even shows that the lawyer believes in the rule of law, and believes in a critical part of the rule of law, the right to legal representation.(It also shows that Awo was clearly paying attention in class in law school).

If you read the case, it wasn't just the Oba being defended, there were co-accused, and while some were found guilty in addition to the Oba, one was found innocent, due to lack of evidence. Would you have wanted an innocent man to die without the services of a lawyer.

Infact, you have allowed your hatred of Awo (who by the way, I don't admire as much as I used to because I think he was a Socialist, and he led the way to our bad economic future via his sharing money polices while Premier of the Western Region)..to cloud your understanding of a principle of law. If Lawyers refuse to defend the evil people...a time will come when they would refuse to defend innocent people because 'they look bad, or they have been accused of being evil'. Then things will get worse.
