@Wilstino if face marks does not protect the uninfected person, no health worker will go near an infected person. if the face masks can prevent an infected person from transmitting the virus it can also prevent uninfected person from inhaling the virus. The kind of irrelevant things Nigerians argue about. First was slippers yesterday, today is mask. How exactly does this help people stuck indoors without any means of survival?!

U need to note that despite the fact that health workers wear masks, they could still contract it due to:

1. Long and exceesive use and resuse of same masks (note these masks are mostly disposables and hv recommrbded hours of use).

2. Improper handling of d masks especially at the point where they are being removed and reworn.

3. Most of these health workers in the US work in multiple health facilities, and as such fatigue, loss of concentration, exhaustion sets in. This in itself poses another big risk because of the need to re-equip or change ones PPE's. Infact these people could easily be responsible for unintentionally infecting others including themselves.

4. Its an unseen enemy that could still be spread by assymtomatic patients, making it difficult to contain. So the best solutuon is for everyone to wear a mask because u no know who get am.

Several countries including the Czech Rebublic hv orderd thats masks be worn by everyone and they have been largely succesfull in keeping their figures very low.
