According to the Chinese ambassador, on 21st of March 21st, China reported the first imported case to China in Guangzhou. And as of today, there are 119 reported cases. Of the imported cases, foreign nationals are 26 in number. Of the foreign nationals, 19 are Africans, with Nigerians making up 9 of the reported African cases.

Also, there are cases of about 60 carriers of the virus not showing symptoms; of which 57 are of African decent. He then states that China is interested in preventing more infections from imported cases; and that Africans are the most vulnerable, and stand a risk of spreading the virus in the country if they care not tested and cleared.


Finally, he said though the Chinese authorities had good intentions in mind, poor communication did happen which led in misunderstandings between all parties involved; to further prove that it isn't a racial targeting, but done to fight the disease in the country, the ambassador explains that; 15000 people have been put on quarantine, with 10000 of them being Chinese nationals and the remaining being African and other nationals in the country; including Australians, Russians, etc.

Oh no, pls don't go there again. This was same perception the Black Americans were made to believe in the beginning and as such the let their guard down.

Eventually it hit them hard because they didn't take it seriously and didn't take precautions. This is however, amongst other reported factors like poverty, unhealthy lifestyle, underlying ailment and clustered living.
