Statistics has shown that due to distrust and fear of uncertainty by other countries; the Chinese will loose economically, socially and politically more than any other country after this crisis.

How is that supposed to help them ascend to the seat of world power?

Even a primary 2 pupil should know that China didn't plan for this as clearly it was going to be counterproductive. They are not that dumb.

Japan has already offer $2.2bn for Japan companies in China to move manufacturing out of their and I know Trump will strengthen his trade war except if he loses election in November and Taiwan who is near China is already trying to take some of their company out too and India is also pushing to make sure everything works because they will benefit it most...if this happens that means iPhone and many computer production will move out China since company that make iPhone is not chinese but Taiwanese company as they are already building factory in Maharashtra India.

many EU countries will not take it easy with china for selling faulty product to them...they could lose that position of factory of the world and if that is gone they should forget about world power as many Australians are already doing racist action to Chinese in Australia for covid 19

I'm on many page on FB run by chinese... you will be shock as they do everything to convince everyone that covid 19 came from a lab in US...the only place China could hold in future is Africa

What else are they aspiring for? Technological and military world powers, once they cement these two the whole world is China's. And just so you know too, there is a reason China is doling out billions of dollars to African countries in the name of loans

the economic power u mentioned is as a result of big American, Asian and European companies that relocated to china to take advantage of cheap labour and low taxes. If these parent countries reduce their taxes and increase other incentives, these big companies will relocate to their parent countries. Without these companies, china won't be an economic colossus it is now.

At least you understood and acknowledged they gave the world a Greek gift. Now that was one of the reasons it is insinuated in many angles that China just fought and won WW3 without firing a shot. Most of those companies especially the tech guys, rushed to sell off there shares when the prices were crashing during this covid-19 outbreak and yes most were bought off by China. It remains to see how the whole world will react after this pandemic (Japan has already given package to some of its companies to start relocating manufacturing from China back to Japan) cos if they don't unite and fight off China, forget it those guys are on their way to police everybody

They now feel ashamed knowing the lies they told is making them look bad. No reasonable person believes the figures from China.

How can China with a quarter of the world's population record less deaths than New York City from a disease they want us to believe they did not know of before now? We are not daft, it's either they created the disease and had the solution or their statistics are all lies.

The corona virus issue has taught America a lesson which is that they have been complacent over the years. Just watch reforms that will come up when they finally overcome the pandemic issue.

who are china's allies? Forget all those "borrow-borrow" countries like Nigeria and other African countries, when it comes to the nitty-gritty, these countries will side with America. China only has North korea, Iran, venezuela and a few other countries as allies, Russia is not a chinese ally. US has so many reliable allies. Us has engrafted herself too deeply in world politics. China is still learning, even in Asia where China is located, they have very very few allies, they are surrounded by many anti-china countries.

in 2018 China exported $2.1tr worth of goods while US alone buy $500b of it... that's is one quarter of it.... American is a country no one wants to be on their bad side even China can't dare it....if the trade war could have strict restrictions China economy will collapse very fast

can you see how China economy was going weak during trade war before everything was relaxed due to negotiation

That's one of the example I always use to those who think China will become world power.

Ordinary trade war and they were already feeling it because America is their biggest market.
