A middle-aged man identified as Friday was on Friday night shot dead by a trigger happy policeman in Ebem, Ohafia local government area of Abia state, ABN TV reports.

Since the commencement of the lockdown in Abia, this is the third time a security agent is killing innocent citizens in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that argument had ensued between the duo while the late Friday was offloading his goods in his shop located at Eni Njoku road, Ebem ohafia.

The policeman was said to have immediately shot the victim, leaving him on the pull of his blood.

He was later rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia where he was pronounced dead in the late hours of Friday.

This development has attracted the anger of the youths in the area who have started a peaceful protest, demanding justice for the late Friday.

Simple lockdown and stay at home order has become very difficult to obey. Why offloading lifeless goods during this period of lockdown ? Well the driver of the goods must have bribed his way through the security personnel.

I don't get it at all.

Even in countries with far more cases of covid 19 and lockdown I don't think their security agents have killed it's citizens because of lockdown like the security agents in naija.

Most of them over there believe covid-19 is politicize...They fight security agents at the detriment of their lives. Indigenes from the eastern states should learn from Lagos and Ogun state. They have been on full lockdown for more than two weeks, yet no recorded death caused by a security agent .
