Yes, Nigeria police has killed more people than the virus itself but why can't people just stay at home and leave their business alone. It's very much understandable that some might be their means of livelihood and therefore have to get to their stores once in a while but you should still have to be calm and diplomatic when talking with this ''trigger happy" agents.

God will help us all. Stay safe out there
Sit at home

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. We behave reckless and stubborn in Nigeria, but when we travel out to white men's country we act coordinated at our best.

Simple lockdown and stay at home order has become very difficult to obey. Why offloading lifeless goods during this period of lockdown ? Well the driver of the goods must have bribed his way through the security personnel.

Wisdom 101 teaches that you don't argue with a man carrying gun, whether Armed Robber, Army, SARS or Police.

Anyways RIP to the death.

People still go out once in a while to buy stuff. Are u now saying when those traders run out goods we must all then die of hu get? Thousands of Dangote trailers are on the road everyday, where and what do u think they are carrying.

There's no justification for this especially since the victim as merely offloading goods.

The police should have just arrested him or were they told to shoot at sight?

How do you expect someone who has no food to eat to seat at home? Sit at home and die? Don't you know there are so many people who don't earn salary and they depend on daily pay. The western countries you are comparing Nigeria with give palliatives to their citizens including foreigners. Some Nigerians living in Italy got money worth over 300,000 naira to sit at home. What has your Nigeria government done?

I pray you don't find yourself in the situation so many Nigerians are, otherwise you won't talk this way. I don't advocate for lawlessness but when you have not eaten for days and you are expected to sit at home, it is wickedness.

My heart bleeds for Nigeria because our leaders are corrupt and wicked. Before the order to sit at home is given, if they are sensible, they ought to make provisions for those whose business will be shut and those who don't have anything to fall back on.

That white men country you talking about is organized itself so who ever gets there will cordinate himself. But Nigeria is the opposite, how do you expect people to sit at home looking at their ceiling on empty stomach, is that what the white men do?

So the killing is justified I guess?

May we never see bad. In my life time I will kill every living thing that is related or connected with or to that policeman. Personally.

In the US were we have record deaths from covid 19 how many people have u heard has been killed from trigger happy security men? Or are there no violators there? We better start thinking straight honestly

Metrix147:
A middle-aged man identified as Friday was on Friday night shot dead by a trigger happy policeman in Ebem, Ohafia local government area of Abia state, ABN TV reports.

Since the commencement of the lockdown in Abia, this is the third time a security agent is killing innocent citizens in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that argument had ensued between the duo while the late Friday was offloading his goods in his shop located at Eni Njoku road, Ebem ohafia.

The policeman was said to have immediately shot the victim, leaving him on the pull of his blood.

He was later rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia where he was pronounced dead in the late hours of Friday.

This development has attracted the anger of the youths in the area who have started a peaceful protest, demanding justice for the late Friday.

It is normal in Nigeria to see force men kill people at slightest provocation and nothing really happens ever after.
The lives of the common people don't really matter, reason there are so many killings just this short period of corona lock down by armed security men: Civil Defence, Police, Army.
However when any of our leaders who are part of the reason why we suffer this much dies, their apologists will want everyone to cry them a river, be human, and speak no ill of the dead.
Most annoying part of it all is that all these killings are completely avoidable.

You should have known what kind of goods he was offloading before concluding, dude sells foodstuff, there's an exception for people selling essential products like his. if everyone goes indoors where would people find Food to buy and eat?
Re: Policeman Kills Man In Ohafia, Abia State (Graphic Photo, Video) by LilMissFavvy(f): 2:02pm On Apr 18, 2020
The reason behind this is that a great deal of these nigerian police officers work under the influence of alcohol and drugs, very many of them, the system is faulty. You can hardly see such in sane countries. Many of them get to regret their actions when sober, yet others can never learn.
AmazonTopaz:
Sad.
How were our security agents recruited how is their orientation done? undecided undecided

I don't get it at all.

Even in countries with far more cases of covid 19 and lockdown I don't think their security agents have killed it's citizens because of lockdown like the security agents in naija.

Who gives these incompetent people gun to use in the first place why will they be holding gun to enforce lockdown self?

Nope. Wisdom 101 teaches that comments like this continue to fuel reckless killings by men of the Nigerian security forces for no just cause.
Absolutely not necessary unless Nigeria is truly a lawless country or zoo like some say. Wisdom should teach you that that very recklesssness that you pretend to condemn is exactly what the police exhibited in taking away the man's life.
If there was justice in this country the least the officer would get might be life imprisonment. He has no excuse to act like a drunkard/lunatic.

See a sample of kind of conduct you seem to condone:
