Check if Lagos & Ekiti states are higher than Plateau state!
Plateau state does not have as much indigenes as those states on the top of that list.

Kaduna & Kano states are high because of their population.

In Kano, everyone including Indigenes & settlers use the state as their state of origin.
I have muslim cousins who use Kano state indigeneship!

Kaduna is high cos it is made up of 2 nation's! Southern Kaduna & Zaria people!
Kaduna state has twice the Indigenous population of Plateau.

Delta is below Ogun and Osun on the Jamb list . And Delta is more populous than the 2 states .
Rivers is not even top 10 on the Jamb list.

Going by your pseudo logic of population , Imo should never be the top state .

Lastly, according to the 2006 census, the difference between the population of Osun and Plateau is not even up to 250, 000.

You see, this is the problem I have.
Apart from Igbo & Yoruba names in Nigeria, most of you from the 3 majority groups cannot tell the names of minorities Nigerians wherever and whenever you see them.

Someone like me who is from one minority region by origin and grew up in the other Minority region, I can be able to tell any minority Nigerian name on sight, but the average Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa fulani cannot!

I wish there was a comprehensive list of all Nigerians admitted to study in the USA or all Nigerians who entered the USA on student permit for a particular year (perhaps provided by our embassy or some other organization).
Then we would have been able to make better comparisons.

It would have been easier of made much more sense! Not going through the hundreds of varsities in the US and looking out for names u think look Nigerian, when u yourself cannot be able to tell 90% of Nigerian minority names when u see them.

Okeoghene is Urhobo/Isoko
Orezime is an Isoko name
Onyaehi Ugbagbe is either Edo or Anioma (Delta Igbo).

Charles Bello is a Northern Christian.

Mohammed Asiri could be a Hausa, fulani, Bura, Marghi, Ebira, Gbagyi, Nupe or even Etsako (Auchi Edo).

Yes I know my people have not started choosing the West as educational destinations in good numbers, but we are gradually getting there.
However, if you go to places like Cyprus, Greece & Turkey, we are very very well represented. Even Hausa fulanis are well represented there.

I had an Igbo friend who schooled in Cyprus and he confirmed to me that Middlebelters & Core-northerns clearly outnumber Southerners in his school and the whole of Cyprus at large.

Go to Malaysia & Egypt, Hausa fulanis form 90% of the Nigerian Students there.

Here is a proof below of what I am saying about Cyprus. I just picked a random Cyprus varsity and I logged into their alumni search. And for every northern Christian name I put in, there were people who had that name and finished from that school.

And besides, you people were concluding that there was no northern Christians on those American alumni lists, and the question I have for you people is. IF YOU SEE MOST NORTHERN CHRISTIAN NAMES, CAN YOU IDENTIFY THEM?

Within Nigeria and most possibly Africa, Northern Christians have the most diverse names!

We have 200 ethnic groups and everyone of them have their own unique tribal names. In addition to these tribal names, we also answer Judeo-English names, Hausa Bible names & Native Hausa fulani & Kanuri names!

If you guys or the average Southern Nigerian see names like

Canada is actually very nice lots of Nigerians especially Yorubas. The only reason lots of Nigeria prefer USA/ or uk is cuz of exchange rate nothing more but Canada is pretty nice.

Moreover he did not add some institutions like Technical University, Ibadan, Dominion University,Ibadan and there are a lot of affiliations connected to UI to show its superiority to all the schools in Jos,Plateau State and the whole North altogether.
