Kano the Largest City in the North is now under total lockdown, one of the serious issue we are facing now is the issue of domestic water, pipe borne water is inadequate in the state capital hence many households depend on water vendors popularly knowns as Mai-Ruwa in Hausa language now that the Mai-Ruwa are no longer moving I don't know how people are coping with this total lockdown, the Lockdown itself has a serious economic implications on both the state and the neighboring states as well.

So Kano can be brought under control like this?

If that is the case, I believe Nigeria will survive this disaster brought to the world by China.

Beautiful.

My major worry these days are:

Where are the beggars, homeless and almajiris on our streets during this lockdown and how are they coping?

Picture 1.
The Ever busy Sabon gari market just before the lockdown, during this panic buying 1 measure of gari known as Mudu in Kano can be sold as much as 1200.

Picture. 2
The famous Panshekera Underpass
NB. there is another one like this along Katsina Raod

Contrary that to the comments I saw in the previous page that Sabon Gari is dominated by certain tribe from Southern Nigeria, that's completely untrue may be the guy is referring to the 1930s to 1960s Sabon Gari Market (Abubakar Rimi Market) is dominated by the Hausas almost 80% of the shop owners in the market are Hausas even the Sabon Gari township itself is Dominated by Hausa landlords with other tribes being their tenant.
The European has segregated Northern cities into four parts
1. City( Birni): which is for the indigenous people of the town usually surrounded by walls with Kofa(gates) being the only entrance

2. Tudun Wada
A Settler Quarter for people from other part of the North with same culture and religion, it is usually subdivided according to the tribes e.g Tudun Nupawa for Nupe, Tudun Jukun for Jukun tribe, etc but in case of Kano it is just Tudun Wada

3. Sabon Gari
A township for only People with different culture and religion Igbo and Yoruba are mainly found here but most Northern christians have their own Neighborhood in Badawa and other Places

4. GRA
No need for long Turanchi this is for the colonial masters

To mourn is not by force. I don't care whether Kyari died or not. I didn't wish him dead but won't mourn him after all his children didn't mourn my father with me.

People die everyday and no one can force anyone to mourn a dead person.

One day I will be gone too, I obviously won't care what happens thereafter.

Kano is beautiful' is not by pictures of roads. Road is not the beauty of a state. What really goes on in Kano. Step down and you will see a bunch of people wearing dirty boubous. You will people will hole and tears in their heels. Look at the Sabon Gari market. Ask your grandmother and she will tell you that she knows the market. Since then until now the market is still as dirty as ever.
If you give Aba the population of Kano, you will produce more than China. Kano was the hub of business in Nigeria many years ago. They were merchants in outfits and all sorts of trades. Today, those merchants are politicians. Education is a stone-age idea for the people of Kano. The living quarters for the poor are sad to see.
The governor of Kano is a good friend of Buhari. The man was caught on camera receiving bribe but this same man is still in power and he had the guts to dethrone the emir of kano. This is a state that houses the cabal of Oligarchs. A state that breeds terrorists for Boko Haram. The airport in Kano is like the market in Onitsha. It looks so poor and lacks maintenance.
Kano is a very old state and a state that thrived in the past. All these billionaires do nothing for the humble people of Kano but push them to the masjid and farther away from getting the proper education.
Where are the industries in Kano? Where is the landmark of civilization in Kano? Why is there still high unemployment and poverty in Kano after decades of Northerner's hold in power?
Good thing that they constructed roads. They have about the best roads in the country. But these projects are from the previous dispensation. The current government did not build the roads in Kano.

Their is no city as developed as Kano in the entire South East.

Why should there be? The lopsided sharing formula that gives the barren deserts undue advantage and of course the civil war are enough to arrest development of the South east.

Now remind me again a city as developed as Kano in the South west.

South east matter no go kee una sha.
