Abba Kyari : The Man They Told Us To Hate. by MANNABBQGRILLS(op):
For about five years, the man Abba Kyari was a scapegoat for almost all the shortcomings of this administration. Rightfully so, because to whom much is given, much should be expected. Many tagged him the head of the imaginary cabal, while some even named him the de facto President.

Even when Abba Kyari tested positive for the dreadedCOVID-19, some persons even rejoiced. Hence, it was not strange that some even expressed joy at his demise.

There is an important disclaimer.

I do not subscribe to the idea that a dead person should not be judged or criticised. They should. But as in life, fair hearing is important. If you want to judge the dead, judge them based on facts.

How did we arrive at the conclusion that Abba Kyari was indeed a terrible human being? We rely on some people to interpret things for us. After all, some people believed or still believe that COVID-19 is not killing people, but that 5G is killing people.

A section of the social media, Twitter in particular, made it a mission to indict, crucify and judge the man. No doubt, Abba Kyari occupied an office of unlimited influence.
He amassed such a huge influence that it threatened the First Lady who shares the same bed with President Buhari; in za Oza room.

Over those five years, even his friends kept quiet while the mob was baying for his blood; like the crowd at the famous gladiator arena in ancient Rome.
But with his demise, many are now sending sweet condolence messages; talking about the human aspect of the man we all thought was a Frankenstein monster.

Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (NEITI), Waziri Adio; was one of those who dropped a moving tweet on Kyari.

“When my mum died earlier this year, the second person to come to the house same day to condole me; (after @Olusegunverdict) was Mallam Abba Kyari. Deeply human. Deeply cerebral. (And) Deeply loyal to his principal and his country, not the caricature widely sold. May God grant him rest.”

He added: “There was clearly a well-oiled machine to always tar him. I and others urged him to always clear the air, if only for posterity. He always resisted, stubbornly insisting that it’s better to bother about the verdict of conscience and of God
.”

If these words had come like six months ago from Waziri Adio; who has a considerable track record within the media/civil societies, more justice would have been done to the man Kyari.

Even higher in its strangeness was a tweet from Feyi Fawehinmi, one of the harshest critics of the deceased Kyari.
One of the people that created the monster image of Kyari the Hitler.
Feyi writes from the personal Twitter handle: @DoubleEph.

Buhari and Kyari

Here is a tweet thread from Fawehinmi on Abba Kyari, the same man he spent years criticising.

‘‘The death of Abba Kyari greatly saddens me. He was one of the Nigerian government officials I abused the most here. Until one fine day last December.

‘‘I was driving when a call came in.

“Hello, is that Feyi?”

‘‘Yes.’’

“This is Abba Kyari. I’ll like to meet you and show you I’m not a monster.”

‘‘About a week later, I drove down to Cambridge to meet him.
I took 2 books for him and he also brought 2 books for me.
We spent close to 2 hours talking about everything in Nigeria from Buhari to 2nd Niger Bridge.

‘‘I assumed it would be like the usual Nigerian big men you meet and never hear from once they return to Nigeria. But we continued chatting daily and even when he landed in Abuja; he sent a message from the airport saying we should keep in touch.

‘‘Since then we’ve chatted very regularly until the last 2 weeks when his illness took a turn for the worse. Sometimes light capitalism vs socialism banter. Sometimes more serious stuff.

‘‘This is not an image washing exercise – many people dislike him strongly. (I was one of them too not long ago).

‘‘But hearing the news of his death has left me deeply deeply sad. And I pray that God grants his soul eternal rest and comfort his family.”

There is a simple lesson from this.

Those people with large followers on social media could be extremely dangerous if they want to. They create narratives to sway public opinion. But they are friends with those same people they are criticising.

Even Senator Sheu Sani has something similar to say about the man.

“The President has lost a trusted & loyal friend.
A man who took the bullets of his master with smiles, calmness & silence. We knew his cap & his colors but never his mind or his own side of his story.
He will be missed as a Punchman or a punch.”

The truth remains.

We will not be able to judge Abba Kyari appropriately, because those people who told us he was wicked; later exchanged books with him. However, they conveniently forgot to tell us they had a change of heart until his death.

Posterity will judge us all.

If you are here collecting any form of money to support any corrupt politicians or supporting them for financial gains (either in APC or PDP both online and offline)
repent NOW or the evil that will befall them all will take you along with them.

Half a word.........

Again, posterity will judge us all.

Re: Abba Kyari : The Man They Told Us To Hate. by Nobody:
on sighting my moniker on his thread: chai...this guy has come again. Why cant he just leave me? Anytime he brings out the corruption in apc I never have an answer and I always have to flee the thread. Even the one he's about to say now I cant talk...i have to leave my own thread because of him.

Bia, meatseller, ki lo'n se e? Even Abacha had accolades when he died. Now let me take your brain to the cleaners. Sentiments aside we all know that even the most tyrannical of men will have friends, family , business partners etc so it is understandable when people write such. So in all fairness to apc and pdp dumb supporters let us disregard any comments about him even if it's from a kano state commissioner who has now been sacked and has come out with a flimsy explanation on what he really meant. I'm still waiting for treads from apc morons on that because they are too daft to know that powers that be forced him to make that statement. That aside I have just 2 questions for you and they really are not an attack on his personality.
1. Who was ruling this country while he was alive?
2. If aisha could speak about the rot in the National Hospital and he saw her as as enemy, what do you think his take on the issue was? 12bn since inception of this tenure and nothing to show for it?

If truly you as a supporter of apc believes this government is not corrupt then may your life and your meat go the way the apc handled that hospital. Just as you have placed curses on pdp supporters but usually prefers calling them children of hate I've used the same measure for you.

I dare say that pdp supporters are even more sensible than apc supporters because they no longer deny that the pdp was corrupt, useless, a punishment on the masses from power, to education, to health and what have you.

The most baffling part of it all is that you don't know him personally. You are only copying and pasting what you see around. Even those castigsting the man don't know him personally but do you know the difference? Some people actually sit down to look at the events in this country and with sound analysis can see clearly who is wrong.

Lazy boys like him will not go out and look for a job! grin
I won't call him out here, if u wish to see him, just click on the guy moniker. Most people are frustrated and just want to pour frustration on people. It's better to avoid them.

If only this useless epistle can raise him to life again.

He's dead, just like the others that died.

They are now equal no matter the amount of epistle.

Mallam Abba Kyari was a good man!

He was misconstrued, misquoted, misjudged and crucified for no fault of his!

Only Posterity will remember him for good!

He was an unsung HERO and an Epitome of unalloyed Loyalty!

Rest in peace Mallam!
You did your best possible for your fatherland!
We will NEVER forget!

Kyari was a heartless man, simple.

If one dies and there's a debate whether he's good or bad, Then he's most probably a bad person.

Yaradua and many others died and Nigerians across all regions and walks of life mourned.

I don't know why some people are happy about this man's death.
He contracted the virus because he went for electricity meeting in Germany for the general benefit of all Nigerians.
If he had stayed back in Nigeria would he have contracted the virus?
He died in active service to Nigerian people yet some people are happy about his death.
He may have his own short coming but wishing him death is bad.
Those set of Nigerians should know that death is inevitable and every soul must pay the price.
Say no more.

dukeprince50:
I think different people operate that moniker.
Sometimes the person who operates it is a core APC PMB supporter, sometimes it's a football fan, other times it just a normal person who just joke around. It could be same person sha. All in all, na business moniker and a nice person, but NL don influence am. Sometimes it insult back, other times it just avoid confrontation.
huh huh huh
Na see finish turn 'Good morning Ma' to 'Fine Girl, how far nah!'
huh huh huh

But whats with Nigeria and production of Bad leaders?......We are blessed with more bad leaders than Good leaders.....When Abacha died, it was Jubilation everywhere, when Babangida died, it was gonna be Jubilation everywhere, When Abba Kyari died, See rejoice.... grin

To every action, there is a reaction.....There is never going to be a reaction without an Action......For someone to tell us to hate Abba Kyari, then there is a questionable character which Abba exhibit.....

Just that in Nigeria, we always try too hard to battle with the truth...

But we are sensitive even though we hate the truth.

People are sensitive.....They only Cannot take Action........We all knew it was Abba that was ruling us even when he was not the one we voted as the president and the worst is we were not even enjoying his ways of leadership until he died away 3 days ago.
