Everything in life is a risk. Trust me only you will take responsibility for the outcome of your action. It's good if u invest your money in business because if it's successful it will give you freedom and if otherwise u will live with the pain for the rest of your life.

Hello guys, as a fresh graduate with a 2:2 grade, which would you advice I do or would you rather opt in for among the three to have a successful career in the near future?
N8m won't do you good for your piloting career. It won't get you far or give you good licenses into becoming employable pilot.
You need good information before embarking on any piloting program. Most flying school aren't worth it. I got an admission in the US but couldn't go for it because i couldn't afford the fees and all that. I also failed to get sponsorship from my State government (they refused) and the Federal scholarship board. Then it was N16m as of 2011. The rate of dollar exchange will badly affect your tuition fee.

What kind of ratings do you want? Multi Engine rating? Fixed wings? Private rating is the least rating you could garner where the N8m you have might be able to cover that but no airline will employ you bros because you will hardly have 100 flight hours to your name.

If you get support to up to N25m or so i will refer you to a school in the US where you will bag atleast 1000 flying hours within two years. Upon referral, do your research as well. Peace and all the best.

Commercial pilot license. NCAT Kaduna is around 7-8m. If u decide to go abroad, depending on how intelligent u are, u could achieve it with that 8m though.

It depends on how intelligent the op is though, and where he chooses to train.

Thanks so much I appreciate

If it's OAU then I'm surprised(I'm studying there now)

Full time masters is 18 months so I'm surprised your part time is just 24 months.I'll make more research.

Thanks for your response...

Good input

But remember he is a fresh graduate and will need at least a year of experience in his chosen NOC(for canada). We all know how job hunting in Nigeria is.Hope he won't spend valuable years job hunting just to have work experience?

Your response will help me as I'm almost in the same situation. Thanks

Your Budget is 8m.

2-3million will take you through your msc abroad. After finishing the course, you can decide to stay over there and work or come live in Nigeria.

The remaining 5 million can be budget for Real Estate Investment. But note, you will need someone who can spot good locations to help you out.

3-4 million can go into Real-Estate. I mean buy land in an economic viable environment that will give you x2 of your Capital Invested in 2-3 years.

The 1 million can be fixed in an Investment bank account (at least 10% per annum) pending the time you will finish.

When you reach there, work like a normal Nigerian will do to get extra income.

Who told you that MSc in Germany is free? If it’s scholarship, that’s different but for the record, MSc is Germany is not free.
It's free in public universities. The only exception is if your proposed MSc course is different from what you studied in BSc.I.e BSc International relations wanting to do MSc in Finance

Apart from that, you'll need at least 4m in blocked account for living expenses.

If you Love flying, by all means go for the Pilot training. You can fly a plane any time in your life, and you can decide to branch out into consulting and training business if you choose not to fly in the future.

Just understand that 8 million Naira is like $20,000 and the money is nothing, depending on the kind off business you choose to do and having money is just 10% requirement of running a successful business.

The world is not tilting towards degrees either and should you wish to do an Msc. at any point in time in your life, you still can - but let it be when it is absolutely necessary to improve your career growth.

As a young person and fresh graduate your goal should be to acquire a skill first and have a business mindset and long term goals with key metrics to help you know what to do next when you achieve them.

This advise may sound foolish to you and to any other person in your place, but you will realize years later how invaluable this is.

Most people here will advise you base on what seems good, not actually what's good. If you'll do business, dont dive in it with the whole of your capital, Nigeria is currently not suitable for many businesses except for essentials, I'm a witness. If you find a way to migrate to top tier countries, pls do.
