I, therefore, call on the general public, NUJ and others concerned to discountenance with the false reports, videos and audio as they are either a figment of the bearers imagination which they brought to bear or a deliberate attempt geared towards smearing the hard-earned good reputation and good media relationship of the governor. In essence, the government is saying the audio and video are fake. Is this not even much more grievous and damaging than the original sins of the journalists? Maybe if we all stand in unison against the bullies and dictators, we'll realize that they aren't as strong as they want us believe. Next thing is to make him assure the journalists of there safety. 12 Likes |

Good move from the governor, to err is human forgiveness is divine. Some journalist should also refrain from spreading fake news all in the name of journalism. Fake news create panic and fear which is more dangerous than corona 6 Likes |

When I read that he banned them for life, it sounded stupid. It is ok if he bans them for a year. This will give them time to correct their ways. Anyway, forgiveness is divine. Nice one 3 Likes |

Indeed d pen is mightier than d sword. Imagine d governor beating a retreat so soon after bragging to unleash koboko on d pen forgetting dat d pen no dey even fear a stronger sword. Obviously Umahi took d wrong opponent to fight cos am sure he hasn't got d balls to confront d media when they all rise up against him in one undiluted accord. His denying his obvious earlier threat of banning them for life has further ridiculed his respect and will further embolden d journalists to come for his scrotum. If we all realise that these politicians aren't as powerful as they appear and come together to hold them accountable then this contraption would have been a better place. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Yes... You know her history in Nigeria.... It's up to us individually to discern the truth regardless where the source is from... Not every news from a genuine source are true, while not every news from an ingenuine source are fake... We trust source at our own discretion
