The lock down achieved nothing, so business cn continue!

I hope the face mask is not from China? But I seriously suggest that it shouldn't be made compulsory unless government provides it free and in good quantity because you must wear different face mask daily. And so many will not be able to afford the cost. How can someone who doesn't have money to buy even a cup of garri make budget for face mask he is supposed to put on daily?

I hope you are aware that Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha plus the state government gave them close to 25 million or so after the mass was conducted there after the tragedy... Besides, ọdụ unu eje just gifted them 40k which out of 100 of them, only 10 people or so collected it

Pastors self dey Self Isolate cos they know d damage d virus dey cause.. Having a full packed church will complicate issues..

Protective measures should be apply like face mask, hand gloves, hand sanitizers, soap and water to wash hands constantly in the places of worship should be enforced and monitored to avoid uncontrollable spread of the virus.

Remember this virus don't have legs to walk from place to place but is humans that carries them around, so, refuse to be the agent to be used by the devil to carry it to every post. God bless and help us all.

Public enlightenment and awareness are already there.

People must be made to wear masks till further notice. Activities must go on. The lockdown doesn't help anyone. If the markets didn't close down during the more deadly ebola, I believe the sacrifices made so far is enough. If you want to wait till coronavirus is totally eradicated, then be ready to keep the lockdown till December.

Fear and hunger may kill people before coronavirus. Of course, the unemployed wish the lockdown lasts forever because it doesn't make any difference.

We are losing on both fronts, both controlling the disease and economy.


You will say how about those in abroad that locked down, are they not losing too? though their own lockdown is not even very successfull but they are in an organised society that can build back their economy subsequently unlike our struggling society where we face a lot of challenges.


Lockdown is not a solution to our problem.
Face mask,hand washing and sanitizer will be very helpful here.

I don't want to remember the payment to citizens by countries abroad in their own lockdown meanwhile no payment to anybody in Nigeria and you are telling them to lock down amidst hunger.

On a second thought I think the Soludo suggestion to resume businesses is behind this move.

You are right, Soludo's suggestion on economic implications of lockdown is behind Obiano's announcement.Before Soludo's paper on lockdown, Ghana only practiced partial lockdown which was later lifted with few restrictions. That is a country, Anambra is a state. Obiano has done the system a country (Ghana) is using.

There has been no lockdown at Ibadan what they have is curfew. I have travelled to Ibadan twice in the last two weeks. The traffic was less than 1% of the normal pre corona virus days despite exemption given to some trucks and people. Police Road blocks exploiting money on expressway and village dusty routes where buses can take to escape them.

I was surprised to see vehicles and businesses open as I got to Ibadan. I was told their total lockdown begins from 6pm to 7am. Government offices and schools closed. One major thing I noticed is the very dull and uninspiring faces on the faces of shop owner. They said corona virus has made business very dull. Once Lagos is closed, it affects neighboring States and countries.

Let us see the effect of lockdown lifting in Anambra. It cannot lead to increase in corona virus spread, except health mafia making money from the pandemic try to blackmail the governor by infecting people with the virus.

There is no single case of corona virus in the entire of anambra state. The only single case has been discharged. Even China removed their lockdown when immediately the recorded zero single case. And anambra has been on 1 month lockdown without any serious prove of one case.

Pls if you are to judge does it make any sense to keep people indoor without a cause ?
