I was taking you serious until you said he plays politics a lot. A governor that has someone from the opposition as the youngest commissioner in Nigeria?

Seyi doesn't understand the difference between politics and governance. He sees everything through the perception of politics. The rally, the face masks, the FG palliative, the 2000 daily tests and so on

OYO state is only exhibiting Curfew and not lockdown.... The only places experiencing lock down in Oyo state are schools and places of worships... Bars and markets still dey full on daily basis... So this topic shouldn't have been that he relaxes Lock down....

Total Lockdown will not solve this virus problem. If it could, USA and Britain wouldn't have had such massive increment in the rate of infections and deaths despite the facts that they started the lockdown before Nigeria and we're more discipline in keeping to it.
What Nigeria needs to do is to keep encouraging social distancing and banning large gatherings coupled with the use of personal protective equipment as initially announced by Lagos State government. The Federal Govt idea of total Lockdown is ill-thought, cynical and retrogressive and will only continue to lead to social and economic disaster for the people and nation.

If you have seen UK and USA infections and deaths rates with lockdown, may be you should imagine what it could have been without lockdown. It is not a Mathematics but common sense. The infection rate had gone beyond imagination before the lockdown was initiated, can't say something different for Nigeria too. Let's continue deceiving ourselves just because we didn't have adequate testing capacity

The testing capacity is very small and narrow. They just wasted our valuable days testing just 10k for almost one month plus. What a waste!

Covid19 it is being used to create fear
Below are worse that Coronavirus
Guy be guided. Nigerians with dumb propaganda.... How are they worse than Covid-19? Don't they have cure? Are they as communicable? .... For your information, Covid-19 has killed over 203,000 people and counting fast in just under the last 3 months, and this figure is way less than the real death tool because almost all governments don't report exact tolls and some hide as many as tens of thousands... No wonder we are where we are. Guy take your time

By the time it hits you guys so hard that you barely remember how it all started, you will receive sense. Lockdown is worldwide, from UK to USA to Canada to Saudi Arabia to Spain to Iran to China to South Africa and so on. But you guys want something unique to your environment, I do hope you get whatever it is. Just remember that infections around 100,000 will easily be make our health sector collapse like pack of cards
It's because the death figures (govt manipulated figures) is still in its baby stage, so they don't care. You know Nigerian govt and politicians are used to the masses dying everyday without doing nothing about it. But when people start dying in their hundreds and the hopeless governments can't cover it up anymore, and especially when dead bodies start piling up at the hospitals and critical medical staff (doctors, nurses) down their tools and run away because nobody wants to die, then this hopeless government will know Coronavirus is not a joke. That's how the Italy was doing, same thing UK and USA and the virus too was pretending as if it wasn't deadly, then all of a sudden people started dying in large numbers like mosquitoes that entered insecticide, they are still dying and now their government are spending hundreds of billions, yet no solution in sight, America has released trillions of dollars for the fight against corona, yet the virus has killed more Americans than all the middle east terrorists ever did in the history of America. They are even lucky people like Osama is dead, because they would have taken advantage of the virus, a serious weapon of mass destruction that they can use to kill westerners in more numbers than suicide bombers or crashing planes into buildings ever can. Nigeria govt dey do copy copy, but they don't have the kind of money those they are copying have to spend. USA can conveniently spend trillions on Coronavirus and their economy will bounce back later. But Nigeria will spend their 2020 + 2021 + 2022 + 2023 up to 2030 budget on Coronavirus if they are not careful and it will take 2 million years to recover from the economic damage. USA has 50 states and there are some states in America that are bigger than the whole of Nigeria. Yet the whole of USA with all that huge landmass has about less than 400m people inside, but Nigeria has about half of that population jam packed like sardine together, yet they are joking about something that could cause mass anarchy. It's only the children I pity. We adults in Nigeria are the ones to blame for the horrible state of affairs in this country. May God have mercy on all the children, especially babies and spare them from this plague. They don't deserve to suffer for the sins of their fathers.

Is

Truly

An

Engineer.

The guy is very intelligent. He said some state apart from Ogun and Lagos doesn't need TOTAL LOCKDOWN. He said if he monitors the trend, he can lock down a whole state capital and allow other town in the state to continue with their farming/activities.

He said he can lockdown a local government.

Oyo state only impose 7pm to 6am. Now Oyo was 4th on the chart initially, now they are 10th. Thumbs us Makinde. Most state have turn lockdown to Aso ebi

This man is saying nothing except that the State Secretariat should reopen. Other missing points are:

1. Will other private sectors open as well?
2. How would social distancing be guaranteed for civil servants and visitors to the Secretariat without personal vehicle?
3. Who will transact businesses with the ministries, departments and agencies of the State Government within the Secretariat if no information is given about other public and private sectors outside the Secretariat.
4. Some general offices are overcrowded, the memo should have addressed the max number of staff per office.
5. On the use of face masks, are there sufficient sensitization on the removal, placement and reuse (e.g. after eating/drinking). We might end up spreading the virus.

I just pray this will not backfire.

how has face mask, bad rice concerns politics...the NCS who distribute the rice said some are bad though but all and SW governors too reject the remaining rice with saying it's bad... and that should tell you he is right

where did you hear 2000 daily test...he said they want to achieve 10000 test and have tested over 450 according to Facebook page last week so my question is where did you see 2000 daily test?

and to show you his hard work during covid 19... when FG lockdown lagos FCT ogun... Oyo was the fourth state with 8 cases and ogun had 3 cases while after lockdown ogun had 35 and Oyo that didn't lockdown now had 18 cases with just 7 active cases... you tell ganduje, abiodun that they are playing politics in order to get money from FG like Lagos did as ganduje is already asking for 15billion and telling us he 74 cases in a day when official figure from NCDC is just 4

He was advised not to hold rally, he refused. He contracted corona from there, do you know how many people walking with corona in Oyo State due to his sturbonness?
You'll soon be cursing him when corona is fully blown in Oyo State.
Audio Gov.

Your comment is a reflection that you lack basic modicum of information on the happenings in the state. Okay, let me ask you this.... How many cases has been linked to the rally you all are shouting about?

7pm to 6am actually. Let them continue spewing thrash. They are far more intelligent than all the folks at UCH and Oyo state's Ministry of health. As if they've not weighed the pros and cons of the decision. They just sit down at home and analyse rubbish. Mscheww.

Scam? So, we still have educated ignorant folks calling covid-19 a scam in Nigeria? The leaders are bad and insensitive, the governed are worse and ignorant! Do you know that as it is right now, death rate is high in Nigeria for COVID-19 compared to other countries?

Thanks brother. Some governors like Makinde, Ganduje, Bello still don't know what they are dealing with. Effects of having clueless people as decision makers.
@ emboldened

Next time cross check your facts

All these countries you mentioned have relaxed their lock down measures.

I don't know where to stand in this instance, but then the cases in Oyo is under reported, there was this case of a patient that was discovered to be covid-19 positive on Friday whilst being operated on at UCH, they had to sterilize the whole theatre and personnel. A lady whom I know who was to be next in theatre couldn't be operated on, because they had to stop all operations. The said lady died and is now in the movie "a newly married lady".
Why am I saying this "I think we are playing with fire in Oyo, with this move as I believe the cases are under reported and the government is not being sincere.
I am not in support of total lockdown, but the way we move and do our thing in Ibadan ehn, should this get out of hand we won't be able to manage it.
