nursing is no longer encouraging in Nigeria.
pharmacy is better because you can easily open a pharmacy shop while waiting for employment

If you plan on travelling outside the country after studying, Nursing is for you..

If you have plans of making it big in Nigeria, my dear Pharmacy is you..

Don't really know much about dentistry, but it's also a very nice course when studied outside Nigeria. You earns just like medical doctors.


But personally I'd go for pharmacy if I were in your shoes

I've never regretted choosing to study my love (pharmacy)
gate way to success In this country

Yep if you're money driven.

Then after your degree, stay around and make some money, then apply and write licensing exams, stand for VISA interviews and switch to USA.

You can do the same for pharmacy and nursing too.

But if you love naija and love to base here, study pharmacy, they are wealthier than nurses here. Don't know for dentists in naija cause they're very scarce.

I am a pharmacist. True. I love pharmacy. True. I have enjoyed my practice of the profession. True.
But in all these, the only thing that is constant is me. It will be irresponsible and selfish of me to encourage someone to make a choice that is likely going to define the rest of their stay here on earth based on what I like.

Scoring 305 in UTME isn't what qualifies you for any course, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Dentistry. It is the passion and vision you have that direct your choice. And passion and vision only come from having a fairly good understanding of what you are choosing. When you have these two (passion and vision), then your choice is clear, and you won't have to ask anyone what you should choose. Everyone responding to you here is making suggestions based on what they would love, and never based on what you desire: only you can make that choice.

I will advise you to interact with different pharmacists, nurses, and dentists to know as much as you can about their professions. Read as much about each of the three, how they operate both in Nigeria and globally. After then, make your choice and never look back. I wish you the best.

Nursing is a lot. Nigeria is disintegrating. With a few years experience, you can work in Europe and make cool money.

You can make it big in any of the above listed courses. The ingredients needed are determination, passion,zeal to mention a few. Medical courses are still the best to study in Nigeria.
I enjoy practising pharmacy but ICT gives me this inner joy and I love doing it. But I was discouraged from doing computer science by my guardian who gave me some excuses then,though are valid ones but I nearly dropped out of pharmacy school if not for my high IQ that saved me.
Its easy to get into medical/pharmacy school but to survive it is the Koko ,you need determination and it is usually fuelled by passion.
So in summary, you need to pick a choice by yourself and have a fueling drive(passion).

Salary in a community pharmacy varies and depends on how big the pharmacy is and your working hours,(full time or locum or superintendent) ranges from 40K to about 150K.
Intern depends on the hospital, most pay about 120K on the average
