Please family this is very urgent!
My Aunt Canadian boyfriend is planing to come visit her here in Nigeria in a month Time and he wants to marry her with immediate effect because he said he wants to return to Canada with her.

My question now is: Do you think marrying here will speed up the grant of visa to my Aunt?
If No what is the best approach to this? As two of them are so in love and don’t want to be separated after their marriage?

spousal sponsorship takes 12 months on the average

Of course she can follow him ASAP on Temporary Residence (Visit Visa or Open Work Permit).

But he can only sponsor her Citizenship or Permanent Residence after a year.
