stonemasonn:Stay there and be blaming world economy. People said this man had bad luck, any thing he touches the forces of the universe are against. He entered gov in the 80s, economy collapsed. We had to qeue to buy essential commodities ie suga, salt etc. That was in the 80s oh. He comes again everything scatter, oil crash, Fulani killings, Boko Haram excalates, Corona virus, fire in all gov offices, bandits etc. See, I am sure you know some people are bad luck while some blessed. You will see a righteous man will enter government tomorrow, from no where oil price will rise, killings will stop etc. Its is called favour and applicable in Islam, Christianity. In westhern world it is Goodluck ie lucky charm etc, for the religious its favor, grace etc. What ever presido touches withers. Give him the economy of Qatar, Dubai, Germany, Sweden, leichesten, Canada, Japan, USA etc and check them out in 6 months. NA RECESSION YOU GO SEE! |

Thanks a lot for the clarification. It is probably a good idea to save money in foreign currency than in Naira right now. I got the rate I quoted from https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=USD&To=NGN PHijo: |

Those useless olodos won't come on this thread, because brain capacity is too low to comprehend or provide solutions. Where will you find them, tribal arguments, sex, afrobeats, copy copy useless things from abroad. Every topic is jokes and banter to them. |

Diversification of the economy is the solution. Our economy rises and falls with movements in oil prices which is not smart! |

/ Nigerian economy. Oxymoron? What Nigeria has is revenue sharing-- sell crude oil and share/loot the proceeds. Nothing more nothing less. Prod the state for other revenues, they introduce levies and VAT. Crude oil price sinks; Nigeria goes kaput. \ |
| Re: Dollar Scarcity Stops Capital Repatriation By Investors by rusher14: 1:57pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
Metrofox:Excuses, excuses, excuses. How do yahoo boys function without electricity? How do night clubs and strip clubs function? Why is it only when it comes to producing we see all these obstacles? Electricity became a domestic resource circa 1890 but before then steam engine cars were being manufactured and sold. In the face of problems, solutions are sought. Think differently. |

I suppose the negativity you pointed out started in 1960. Even if you select a new sets of people into governance today from the Federal to the local government throughout the country, the trend has 90% probability of continuing. It is in the black man's gene to be selfish and deprive others of the right to live. Doubts you will fare better if given a chance to lead. It is 'connection' when it fetches us money, favours, good job etc but it becomes corruption when we are excluded from the goodies. quote author=tot post=88907377]Incredible. Nigerians will now better understand the consequence of bad governance. A government that has failed to plan will definitely have a hard time during times like these. Fix electricity? No. Allocate the right budget to health and education? No. Develop the country? No. Well, this is the result.[/quote] |
| Re: Dollar Scarcity Stops Capital Repatriation By Investors by AdesegunSanni89: 2:01pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
Kinikini:Please advice the government on how to fix electricity because all you critics know how to do is complain without offering tangible solutions. |

AdesegunSanni89:So it now the citizens' jobs to advice the government on how to do its work ![]() |
| Re: Dollar Scarcity Stops Capital Repatriation By Investors by AdesegunSanni89: 2:19pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
tot:The government officials are also citizens like you. If you can't offer advice the government on how to do it's work better, then keep quiet and stop complaining. What we are basically asking you is - what will you do better if you find yourself in government tomorrow? Or you no get anything for head? |
| Re: Dollar Scarcity Stops Capital Repatriation By Investors by Metrofox(m): 2:20pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
rusher14:Problem I have with blacks is that you don't take time to really read books and understand how things work, we prefer the easier route of praying or wishing away our problems. Do you know the margins on production? You think the yahoo boy doesn't factor in the cost of running gen or the strip clubs just open and keep their gens running without knowing if they'll make a profit at the end of the day? Why do you think China is the production capital of the world today when any Tom, Dick or Harry can import machines and switch them on for production.. Nigeria has the population(economy of scale) viable for any market but companies prefer to move to Ghana and sent the finished goods down here.. why? COST OF PRODUCTION .. Do your own little reading, find out how market societies work then come back, I'll be waiting. Electricity became a domestic resource circa 1890 but before then steam engine cars were being manufactured and sold. What is the difference between electricity and the steam engine? Before the steam engine Europe developed advantage from mechanized labor using the water wheel and windmills(one of the reasons they colonized you) , also read up on renaissance Europe and find out how the Industrial revolution came about powered by the steam engine and mechanization in the 18th century . Cheers |
