COVID-19 has force them to do something.. if not for this pandemic now imagine they have created work for these people assuming they are seeing good clothes bags garments and other things.. they wouldn't say they are jobless roaming the street Hawking pure water soft drinks that can't uplift them from poverty.. after this Pandemic Nigeria needs industrial revolution.. let industrialized our economic, Government must build companies, tech firm, garments company, steel companies many companies and industries. This is how we can eradicate poverty in Nigeria not by going to miracle centres and be looking for magic

It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love.

Success makes so many people hate you.

Instead of Ondo State Government to patronize made in Aba goods(Japan of Africa) they went and produce their own,

This is disrespectful to Aba known as Japan of Africa, even foreigners come to Aba to request for goods, but Ondo State refused to order Face Mask from Aba, no problem.

We Nigerians should patronize made in Aba products, if we want this country to move forward, Hatred Apart.

He's pained it's not coming from Aba.

Sorry, this is not the fake mask produced in Aba.
This one can actually hold water.

God bless Ondo State cool

Keep deceiving yourselves. Aba makes more than just face masks. Aba started this anyway, don't be a dunce. Abi does it end for mask ?? Come and produce shoes na. Mumu, I can see how hateful you are from all your posts, I understand your disease is due to idleness. You already know Aba alone pass the entire Ondo state for industry and market not minding all the incompetence from Abia governors but I see you're just trying to convince your self to stop believing the facts on your face. Mediocre for real!!! So this is all you guys have to show?? Ordinary face mask that a nursery school girl can produce!!; Get sense!!

capital no!!! he was intimidated seeing a better face mask being produced in another place aside aba that was why he called it "mediocre". when the news of aba tailors mass producing face masks hit front page, despite the low standard, we all saw how his likes were celebrating as if they have found a vaccine for covid19........that is just hypocrisy @ its peak or maybe selective amnesia.
I am happy that you agreed that Aba boys are the pacesetters

Your claims are erroneous. compare Ondo GPD with that of Abia and you would see that what you wrote up there is complete crap. There is a proverb in Yoruba: 'Eni tio de oko baba elomiran lo ma so wipe, oko baba oun lo ju.' That Yorubas don't make noise doesn't mean we don't have an artcraft and state of industry and finance that supersede that of any other geopolitical zone in the country.

The figures don't lie

Some Yoruba guys should leave Aba alone, this hate and envy is too much.

Ondo governor just gather 4 tailors together boom some Yorubas started comparing it with Aba with all manner of insults. This inferiority complex should stop.

All tailors in Nigeria can make a face mask , is very to make. Aba is just a home to cottage industry in Nigeria. Kano is also doing well in local production like Aba.

By 2023, this will be a major point to campaign for all useless Nigerian politicians

For heaven's sake, one of the major steps to manage Covid-19 is through TESTING. Senegal have proved it, South Korea have proved it too. Why is no state government looking into that?

Italy, Spain and USA are using face masks too. Yet, wetin dey happen still dey happen.

If you are not doing much to test people, to separate the infected from the uninfected, then we are in for a very very long ride
I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed that Ogun state government is silently managing COVID 19 far better than most other state governments..
The only state initiating the Testing centres you did acclaim!

This is good move
Another action is to share the face masks to the public and ensure it reaches the vulnerable ones

pacesetters @ what exactly? producing sub standard masks with zero regard for the health implications, most of those Ankara masks are literally fashion charade, ondo is showing us how to make a proper facemask, a face mask that works as a facemask.

OndoFirstBorn:
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Tuesday, visited the production center for the massive production of the nose masks in Akure, the state capital.

The Governor expressed satisfaction at the compliance with global standard by the State Committee on Production of Nose Masks.

Speaking at the production centre which has several production points in Akure during his visit, Governor Akeredolu commended the committee for using quality materials with standard specification.

According to him, with the level of work done so far by the committee within the short time of its inauguration, it was clear that it would deliver as scheduled.

Arakunrin Akeredolu used the occasion to call on all the residents of the state to ensure they wear nose masks as it is now mandatory for all to use it starting from first day in May adding that the nose masks would be distributed to the residents free of charge.

"This committee is doing a wonderful job. You recall that we put them together few days ago and they have taken up the challenge and prepared to deliver on it. What the Committee is doing is marvellous", he said

Earlier, the Chairman of the Special Committee on Mass Production and Distribution of Nose Masks, Mr Gani Muhammed said the nose masks being produced by his committee were unique and specially made with global standard.

According to him, the materials could not allow water in, and also reusable which makes it different from others.

He said over 500, 000 units of the nose masks would be delivered to the State Government as the first tranche from the Akure Centre.

Mr Muhammed added that all the tailors sowing the nose masks are indigenes of the state drawn from across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
