For heaven's sake, one of the major steps to manage Covid-19 is through TESTING. Senegal have proved it, South Korea have proved it too. Why is no state government looking into that?

Italy, Spain and USA are using face masks too. Yet, wetin dey happen still dey happen.

If you are not doing much to test people, to separate the infected from the uninfected, then we are in for a very very long ride

Your post is dumb though. You said the steps to manage Covid is by testing, and you mentioned only two countries, do you think those South. K and Senegal have even tested half of what spain, US and italy have tested and yet thier cases are still exploding. Lol.

There's obviously more to this than testing. One thing South.K implemented quickly is the use of mask, which they didn't wait like drooling animals for CDC to direct them to use after stating that mask is not needed - SK acted fast on that part and made mask mandatory and also massive testing. We failed in the two because we cannot think for ourselves unless CDC (not NCDC) puts out instruction.

Your claims are erroneous. compare Ondo GPD with that of Abia and you would see that what you wrote up there is complete crap. There is a proverb in Yoruba: 'Eni tio de oko baba elomiran lo ma so wipe, oko baba oun lo ju.' That Yorubas don't make noise doesn't mean we don't have an artcraft and state of industry and finance that supersede that of any other geopolitical zone in the country.

The figures don't lie

Yeah sure, there are aircrafts and state of industry and finance in Yorubaland for sure, only it's not entirely owned by Yorubas. I'm not comparing Yoruba land to Aba. I'm aware of all that . This is not about GDP, I know Akeredolu did good on that. I'm talking about industries and market and I repeat ondo state as a whole cannot compete with Aba on that ( Aba is 8 LGAs)

pacesetters @ what exactly? producing sub standard masks with zero regard for the health implications, most of those Ankara masks are literally fashion charade, ondo is showing us how to make a proper facemask, a face mask that works as a facemask.
Which government organization or nafdac or international body told you they are substandard if not for organized hatred and jealousy inside of you for the ever industous igbos

I can see fear, anger and frustration coupled with depression, written all over you... cheesy

Bring the GDP and IGR of abia let's compare cheesy
Delusional miscreants

compare the IGR and GDP of Aba (8lgas) with ondo and you'll see you stand no where.

lol, go and wear your Ankara for Christ sake, but you should know that you are just imitating batman with those stuff, they can not prevent anything, if each state of the federation decide to start a facemask company, what is your headache, is the production exclusive to aba alone? mr man, Aba alone can not supply 200 million people at this time we need it most.......mr man, be careful
It make no sense bringing Aba into this, it is very easy to make a face mask. Ankara is good for face mask even Japan is using bra to make face mask.

Aba will continue to be a home of cottage industry in Nigeria. Rome was not built in a day. Nobody prevent you from making a face mask in your state.

See how you just stylishly delved into abusing igbos unjustly without any provocations
The same igbos that you know that Nigeria cannot do without, the same igbos you will sacrifice your life to make sure they remain with you as one country.
Do I need to remind you that in the Civil War igbos were fighting to break away from you while you were fighting to keep them

Don't you know you suppose to combine comfort with whatsoever is the aim of the face mask
You guys should stop been sentiment and tribalisic with almost everything pls.
After all we are one nigerians. I know the other person you're referring to would answer u by saying "how could you win a war you're craving to breakout when you don't have food. That food suply was cut off by whome you're fighting to leave, and imidiately the war was lost.
Pls and pls you guys should just let peace to reign.

If you are making face mask with nylon-like material how do you expect the users to breath.

It is very worrisome. Is carrying out massive test that expensive that the billions donated by private individuals and agencies, home and abroad cannot cater for it? That's the only way Nigeria government handles issues; neglecting necessities for irrelevance

Senegal is using the rapid testing kit and a blood work test adapted from another infectious disease and for reasons best known to them, the MoH in Nigeria prefers the slower test which is slower and more expensive. Right now we need scale over minute variance avoidance.

For real African leaders lack what it takes to be leaders.. No competitive innovation.

No big deal in all these to be sincere .. But it is well appreciated in the eyes of my folks.

Let's take it that way, they've tried. The people's voice.

This is not too good for the future generation my own opinion!

if you know this , why were you lamenting earlier that yorubas are jealous of aba? we all know that facemask is easy to make and aba alone can not meet up with the demand of the whole country, so your earlier comment is out of place.
