Also seeing that all duties are compromised duty wouldn't some paying 800k and above 1m the same. Aren't you just dashing the crooks money if you pay an excessively high surface duty because customs on the road will still say it is underpayment?

Basically, there are 2 scenarios here:
a) IF an underpayment is detected before the vehicle leaves the Port - called Alert - owner ends up paying more, say around 50% i.e a 2013 RX 350 should pay about #1.2m to govt coffers and lesser is paid, another DN debit note will be issued by NCS with penalty (fine) which might end up to be #1.5m instead of initial #1.2m.

b) Pay the #1.2m to govt and vehicle leaves Port without qualms (usual customs officer will/might disturb depending on driver's countenance and condor on the road).

Let me add the final: pay appropriate duty of around #4m. Notice I didn't add it as an option because it is rarely done and not encouraged by anyone including Customs personnels.

The Acura TL 2012 will go for 1.4 , it’s a big car and the initial comprosmise surface duty giving from Valuation now is 900k multiply by 1.38 and that will make up overall total duty Xcluding shipping and terminal charges with little running’s involve but if want to pay lower and that’s shortpayment, we can pay 700k as surface duty multiply by 1.38 and that’s going to put us around 900kplus as total duty xcluding terminal charges and lil running’s payment , with. 700k as surface duty on shortpayment , 1.250m will do it .

As regard the Lexus GX460 , the surface duty giving as at now is 1m Witt the new FX rate from custom which is 361, so with 1m as the total duty , it will paying 1m x 1.38 and that’s going to give is 1.380m as overall total duty xcluding shipping charges and running’s but on shortpayment level
We can still work on 700k-800k as surface duty
