let's assume you are correct. If ur brother is calling you out, do you respond by retaliation? It shows how backward we av been as a nation generally and as a zone particularly. I keep saying and I will repeat for the umpteenth time that Nigeria and Nigerians are going no where with our current reasoning pattern. Nigeria is in disrepair and we need a coordinated and united South to get it repaired. If some few yorubas are speaking it doesn't represent the opinion of the entire yorubas likewise for igbos. Meanwhile, of what importance does it serve when all the time all we do is name calling and infighting down south? This government has proven beyond any doubt that it's serving no common Nigerian' interest so let us all beware and watch as all events unfold and last till 2023. May God spare our lives and preserve us all to effect the much needed change.

Aounty Farida is from Ibolo subgroup of Yoruba in Offa, Southern Kwara though Kwara is in North Central Nigeria but the 7 local governments in Kwara south are either Ibolo, Igbomina or Ekiti Yoruba, while the five lg in Kwara central 98% of the people are Yoruba of oid Oyo empire descent with the remaining 2% there are either of Fulani, Hausa, Baruba, Nupe, Kanuri or Marlian descent which the King and few chiefs of Ilorin are part of, they can't even speak those aforementioned languages, they only understand Yoruba, if they are to fill any form today they will put Yoruba has there language. talking about Kwara north Nupe and Baruba share two lg each out of the 5 lg in Kwara north while the remaining one is pure Yoruba lg. I hope aounty Muheeba will emulate the former Fcc chairman Prof. Oba Abu an industrious son of Ilorin who used his position to help Kwarans.

Don't get me wrong am not with Sinzu money because Buhari is a irredimable tribal and religious bigot but am just setting the record straight to those mocking Yoruba because of this particular appointment. morality demand that appointments should be shared equally between North and South so that everybody can have the sense of belonging in the contraption called Nigeria. I am a proud Yoruba man from Ilorin, ilu Afonja, geri Alimi in north central Nigeria but being classified as a Northerner doesn't reduce my Yoruba nationality infact Northern Nigeria is a mere geographical expression ( I subscribed to my political mentor Awolowo statement)

The Chairperson Hajia Muheebat Dankaka is a yoruba woman from Offa, Kwara State. Technically speaking, the ethnic colouration is balanced.

Hajia! That will be like a typical taliban's wife. Of what good will she be to normal people in a 21st century world?

Buhari is a nepotic northern leader and it's very unfortunate.

I'm disappointed bcoz I voted for him and I did that because PDP doesn't have candidate in the last election.

Was this not how the Bigot Stella Odauh went on a retrenchment 0rgy against Yorubas in her Ministry, when Minister under GEJ, to replace them with Igbos.

Any smart and 'aware' Yorubas know you guys are by far the most unfair-minded and selfish folks in Nigeria.

For example, I don't know any time in our history any Northerners sought to make other Northerners heads of important institutions and parastatals in the SW as Azikiwe greedily tried to achieve.

You cannot fool the SW with your vocal hatred of the North. We don't do 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' like you lot[/s].

Stop crying and continue licking the green pooh-pooh from the craw-craw infested ass of your Fulani masters! Time will tell!

By the way where is your commissioner-for-burial-ceremony brother alias Osinbade? I haven't seen nor heard from him for several months?! I hope the cabals didn't lock him up in guardroom?!!!!!

Good comment I must admit.
However there is no such thing as the United South. I do not believe the South East in particular is capable of forming alliances: no pun intended. Politics is about alliances. It is about compromises. It is about give and take. It is about negotiations. The South East on the other hand has always played activism and aluta-ism mistaking this to be politics. With respect to electoral influence, the South East is one of the weakest in the country. They do not have the electorate to secure a win at the national polls. And it is unfortunate that the South East keeps having a sense of entitlement towards the South West, like the latter is supposed to support them against the North.
The North is not the enemy. The North has never been the enemy. The enemy of the country is in each region and they are benefiting maximally while many of us are out here bickering. Many people on this thread are jobless and poor and will remain so, and even hand over the same terrible heritage to their own offspring if they live long enough to sire children. Yet, they are busy defending a sociopolitical structure that continues to consolidate their misery as humans.
There is no such thing as the United South, there probably never will be. I believe the Igbos in particular raised their children to hate all other humans, and even to feel superior towards them. Igbo leadership in the past was never a good testimony for Nigeria. In fact at a point the North wanted to secede and it was Igbo leadership that frustrated that from happening. The South West are a distinct group of people. Hate them or like them, they know how to fix their own political problems. The South East should go and have a serious talk with themselves instead of always crying and claiming to be the victim of all things in the country. No amount of crying will secure the presidency for the South East. You have to play the politics or you keep crying... And I personally believe that an Igbo Presidency will most likely demonstrate a far greater degree of nepotism and Igbo supremacy in Nigeria. Every organization, corporation and association, with Igbos at the head in the country always manage to ease out other ethnic groups, replacing them with Igbos. So, if Igbos are not willing or able to discuss the matter on ground constructively, then they should keep quiet because they are not better than the Northerners when it comes to nepotism and tribalism. Love him or hate him, Obasanjo is the only president in recent times that made appointments across board. And he is a Yoruba man.

North is sucking the blood from the south in Nigeria.

Worse, new politicians from the south no longer seem to understand that the skewed political structure of 20 states created by northern soldiers in north but only 17 states for the 2 southern regions is the South is the pain of the south in Nigeria.

Restructure or dissolve the rogue country now.

Soldiers don't create a political structure of a country.
Land mass is not used as criteria for proliferating new federating units in an area with huge land mass in a country formed by diverse regions.

Agitating for Biafra or regionalism doesn't necessarily need to be violent, volatile and condescending to other tribes who may not share your modus operandi of achieving such.

Yorubas have always agitated for Oduduwa republic or regionalism as Biafra, but Yorubas are known to do things with brain rather than muscle.

Shouting up and down doesn't change anything, it all boils down to careful and strategic planning.

The more the brain the lesser the muscle.

Amotekun reminds me of "shouting up and down". cheesy
And I agree, it doesn't change anything.

Emotional as usual, the issue is about federalism and inclusive government.

For ur information, am from SS, I schooled in IMO and currently working at Oyo state. Guess what I noticed, for a region that went through 3yrs war and destruction and a region that saw no war. .. They are not better in any form.

One thing I realise is, we are all suffering be u SS, SE, SW.... But one group keep living in denial .... Acting like all is well with them.... But they are far from well
That's right. We are all in it together. Every section of the country is suffering from the consequences of years of misrule by our past leaders especially from the military regime to date. The wealth of the nation is being shared among few (less than 10%) , leaving large percentage of the population to scamper for the left over. Corruption is our greatest enemy and not the tribal or religion differences. If we are fortunate to get a leader that gets it right, nobody will remember our ethnic and religion differences again. Take football as an example, when Nigeria is playing well and wining ,everyone is happy and we give them the support .So likewise it is, when it turns the other way. We don't need a politician as leader. What we need is a God fearing servant, selfless, sound, visionary and result oriented. He may be as blunt as Trump, we don't care. Whatever part of the country he comes from does not matter as long he has the feelings of the masses in his heart and sees Nigeria as a project that he must deliver. Let's learn to forgive one another and and move on. We need to unite to fight the common enemy called corruption and bad leadership the same way we are uniting to fight Corona Virus now.
