That guy is has been whining about a lot, opening different threads and complaining. All these people that won't research well before they accept a course in university. Imagine him saying medical rep and working as an accountant is absurd for a BMS graduate. This one never even know wetin dey sup for 9ja. Reality go soon dawn on am
sherylbakky:
U are still saying this basic med with "igara"... LMAO grin

Nobody will even employ u in accounting field (they strongly deal with professionals)...we are talking about general banking e.g cashier, customer service/care or other organizations that also need less skilled worker like this.

At least to keep tins in place for a while, which does not mean u sud forget about ur dream.
If anyone have to tell u d truth, dat's d two options av given u.

Lecturing job is not also easy to get in Nigeria of today.

Are pharmacology students ,medical students?
HammedOlanaija:

Why will a basic medical student go into a strange field that doesn't team up with his/her credentials. And which company will in anyway employ a medical student in an accounting field. It's a reproach and absurd thing to do.

Some people will just be hyping their undergraduate course in Nigeria, thereby giving themselves pious hope. I remember how a friend studying Marine Science was confidently saying that he could be employed after school in some organisation, cooperation, and company. The guy is now a photographer. I haven't contacted him in a long time. Perhaps he might have gotten employed by an organisation, cooperation, and company.
Lolgrin grin... Don't mind them jare

Abi no be 40(E) be pass mark for BMS?
You studied pharmacology yet you think practising pharmacy is what they can just give to anybody. Even professionals like doctors, nurses,Mls are not allowed to operate a pharmacy not to talk of pharmacologists
HammedOlanaija:

So wait oo if pharmacology is under pharmacy in your school why are they, the the pharmacology students not allowed to practice, dispense or sale drugs after graduating like pharmacists

Wow! I guess this is how we end up having BMS courses in the country
It's to distract people from Medicine and to train people that can teach medical students.

biochemistry and pharmacology is not under basic medical sciences,at least in my school and in addition, they are other good lucrative courses under BMS. So i think you should specify physiology and anatomy.
likewise medical laboratory science

HammedOlanaija:
So now basically,if I studied physiology for example and graduated with a degree. And apparently I tend to go into teaching line to lecture after sensing and looking into the situation of the country. So are you expecting me to tell my students to all go into lecturing because the country is bad.And after it's their own reign too as a lecturer after taking my advice so as not to stay jobless will they also continue with the thread
Most basic medical science lecturers are MD or BDS funny enough

Re: Fate Of Basic Medical Students After Graduation In Nigerian Universities by Zeeknow3245(m): 12:59am On May 01, 2020

Initially, There were no degree programs for those BMS courses..They were just courses offered by medical students.
But because of so much people applying for Medicine and end up not getting it, They had to create those departments to as leverage.
Wrong ideology, what would we say of KEITH MOORE was he a MD by profession or an anatomist don't get twisted

Keith Moore as an Anatomist does not change what's obtainable in Nigeria.
They were created to distract people from Medicine and to produce lecturers to teach medical students.

I would love to disagree but you are write. Anatomy isn't that lucrative at all except you decide to be a lecturer. I am also dissapointed because some anatomy teachings are useless compared to what students face in clinical settings.
