I blame our useless so- called leaders for these rubbish. They won't give citizens opportunity to express themselves because anything foreign to them is the best. Ordinary road side mechanic for other developed countries go come Nigeria dey form expatriates.

Bad work ethics. The reason you will find it hard to be employed. You are fighting and punching someone at work. And you still think you are employable and you deserve to be employed. If you do that where I am, it is straight sack plus police case.

Rude, violent, aggressive, insecure, and disrespectful people cant hold a job.

GM is kind and you are punching someone. Why not report him if he is breaking rules? You are doing superman fighting at work and you think people are interested or impressed by your bad manners.

Power Mech Staff Complain Of Being Forced To Work Despite Lockdown

Staff of Power Mech company working on the Dangote Refinery have complained to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Damodardas Modi of the actions of their employers. They claim that they are being made to work through the Coronavirus pandemic and even threatened with violence.

The workers in a video with their leader speaking said every other company is observing the lockdown as announced by the Federal Government of Nigeria but Power Mech has refused to obey the directive and the workers are being driven out of their rooms in what they described as slavery. They also say only Power Mech is forcing staff to work as other companies have asked their workers to stay away.

No Nigerian has the guy to treat these people like trash, it's the people that brought them here that are treating them like this

The question should be - how did we allow this amount of Indians into Nigeria and we are complaining that there are no jobs?
Am I the only person that is seeing this? We should give the jobs to Nigerians. I'll keep saying it - it unpatriotic for Dangote to allow contractors to employ expats for jobs Nigerians can do or at least train them to do the jobs.

I am not surprise. It's a battle between the Have and have not. Social stratification of wealth in the society is universal irrespective of races or colour. Karl Marx saw spoke about it and Fred Riggs knows the dangers facing prismatic societies. Welcome to third world country. Las las na conspiracy of the Elites.

You are judging them based on the way they are dressed in that video. Likely, they shot that video when not on duty.

We really cant say for sure what their positions are in that company. But I find it hard to believe a company in Nigeria would import labourers. In that case, it means the owner of the company feels like dashing money to his people or wasting money since he can source the same employees locally. He is turning his company into a charity for his people.

I asked the same question. I'm not sure why.

However, I think the power mech company (contractor / sub-contractor) might be Indian owned and also treating their people poorly.

The Government should look into this ASAP because it also represents poorly on Dangote Refinery , domestically and internationally.

See them in their numbers when the Nigeria citizens are crying of no job.
If a single company employs this much Indians in Nigeria it simply means Indians occupy a larger number of our work force.
Naija and corruption sha! What permit brought this large number for one company in country that is facing huge unemployment crisis

It's always like this when it comes to Nigeria, i have experienced it back in the days when i worked with a firm here in Nigeria. They normal import technical school leavers to come and do a job n we will end up doing it for them at the end of the day n still pay them in hard currencies because no one cares in govt.
