I think it's the fear of losing the son and the family name going off ..what they actually want is male children from that lady. If she doesn't give them boys, she'll be kicked out.

This is a kangaroo marriage as a result of fear of the unknown.
The uncertainty surrounding the elimination of the lineage of the late father might have lead to this marriage. But this should be condemned to the later.
I don't think the mental capacity of this two teens where considered before their parents came up with this kind of marriage.
