It would be near impossible to ask people to not use railings. Some of us depend on the railings for stability.

We should just imbibe the culture of using a handsanitiser and consciously washing our hands as many times as we can and avoid touching our face.

Whosoever that made that sitting arrangement, didn't do it well. People would sit facing someone directly. It's not supposed to be so. The sitting arrangement should have been left and right, meaning that if a person sits on the left, the other should sit on left so that there's no to face to back contact.
