I condemn in strongest of terms the mismanagement of CVD-19 in Kano by the Governor. While we bash him, we should remember Kano has become a risk to the rest of us, and must be taken seriously.

Same manner some hausas chanted "ba corona" and the crises is ravaging them, is the same way some NL and Online Citizens are chanting Verbal Autopsy is fake and audio and not real...

Promoting this narrative will create a scenario it is seen as suspect and NOT accepted by people. The various narratives being promoted around Isolation Centres is why infected people are absconding and running away from these centers.

Because of burial rites practiced in northern Nigeria along the lines of religion, it is almost always impossible to keep the corpse for further medical investigations.

The institutions are weak and can not enforce much.
The sway of religion outranks any other system and makes the people not inclined towards these systems.

If the body has been buried, the next investigative tool is verbal autopsy.

That's why I said the institutions are weak. Government institutions are VERY WEAK in northern Nigeria. The people, with full support of religious leaders, have a strong hold on the apparatus of State.

Imagine Kano governor asking for easing of lockdown set in place by the FG in order for people to buy food for Ramadan. And FG allowed that.

Personally I think martial law ought to be in effect in Kano for 90days.
