I had to dust the files on my desk and start from where I stopped. Arranging your office after the long lockdown isn't easy at all.

My big challenge is the facemask. I'm not feeling a pint of convenience. Feel like burning it off

Lawyer broke kwa, am hearing for the first time, change your location, maybe where you are practicing you are not known there
I am lawyer and I find his statement an embarrassment totally to the integrity of the noble profession. He should restrategize and plan his life with God's word. Perhaps he is in a wrong location

Single Dad? How does that work?

The partner probably left him with their kid(s) through divorce, death or separation.

Guy, enter freelance platforms. So many people looking for those who can draft business agreements, legal documents, write depositions, legal advice on investments..etc.

I get truly baffled when I see such beggarly requests. You live beside the river and yet wash your hands with spittle.

Ahhh!

Nothing much;

- Everyone is kinda slow and clumsy. The rain didn’t help matters.

- They put sanitizers at strategic places and we have a handwashing prefect, lol. The cleaners have been asked to work extra.

- They are considering making us continue shifts to reduce the number of staff in the office.

- Use of face masks. They gave us this too.

- I don’t have clients coming in here. My heart goes out to people who have much customer interface, because with what I am seeing- there would be CASUALTIES. Social distancing isn’t working!

- Someone swapped my seat for one that slides down. I will go look for mine when I am ready. They don’t know I marked it.

- I am looking at my (new) boss differently today. Over the work-from-home period, I realized in-house pressure influences lots of his erratic behavior.

Apart from its inherent risk, feels good to see my colleagues physically. I missed their faces, I missed our COB xrated talks. I missed the food we order...etc

Lol. Good details.

to be sincere. A lot of factors comes to play in this respected profession. There is a culmination of certain variables such as contacts, your family background, God divine intervention, your own hard work, your financial state at your call to bar or time thereafter, your location. On the average, a lot of lawyers are comfort as some are in oil n gas, banking, maritime e.t.c but holistically, not all lawyers have a sufficient means of income, some lawyers in litigation find income generation difficult while some other fare well. A lawyer who opens an office in asokoro Abuja has the financial capacity that a lawyer in a village in sagamu or Badagary does not have. Minute indices and influencing factors play a large role too which are often downplayed. A well educated lawyer in OJO LGA lagos who has a PhD might be struggling when his contemporary who is in IMO owerri is doing. A times too, practical experience shows that where lawyers service have been debased by the lawyers themselves or if you are in a place where there is much supply than demand from the public. It can be adverse to the lawyers income there. Some fields of law is diminishing in value, like lawyers I advise should leave criminal cases where the police and quacks now do the job of lawyers and you see some of the take income of lawyers.
