Am really excited to see these changes at ebonyi, I remember when I served there at izzi local government in 2013, there was nothing of worth to really point finger at except the 80 years old plus Governor who was residing at enugu a neighbouring state to where he governs ![]() |

Go to your stupid state and complain to your stupid governor and leave Ebonyi alone... if not that you are an idiot tell me any road that is motorable in Nigeria... You are not even ashamed of your self... when was Ebonyi created as a state... Yet she is doing very well better than most states that have been in existence for more than 50yrs... You want a new state to compete with Lagos right... go and check your empty skull |

Nysc made me to love and cherish that city.. Abakaliki Moving into the inner streets and hoods, you will definitely hug Dave Umahi for doing wonders. Almost every street was tarred in that city! Then inec work came up..I worked in izzi and I discovered that the Governor is paying full attention to Abakaliki town He's trying in terms of infrastructure but he needs to invest in human development. They needs it too |

SweetCunt97:I'm proudly nwa -Abakaliki, I represent Ikwo Noyo clan. What u just said is very true. I'm typing to you from Umunze, Orumba South LG. Anambra State. We are populated u know. And Abakaliki being the only major town can't sustain us all. And we need to leave our comfort zone and make a difference. Same way Igbos at large are leaving their beautiful Enugu, Owerri, Awka,Abakaliki, Umuahia etc in sea of greener pasture in far away North. We are really lucky to have Umahi as a governor. The last time I visited my hometown was march. And I saw whole lots of buildings springing up in my local govt, especially at the location of the federal university. Tricycles and vans are shuttling students and market women in my own village. Incredible but it is true. And guess how the landscape is going to look like in couple of years to come. Modern architectures and well planned towns and villages with lush vegetation. Good night dear. |

To compare Ebonyi to Osun is an insult... If you doubt this, google the poorest states in nigeria and you can't but find ebonyi on the list. A state that cannot generate 8bn IGR in twelve months is talking. I was expecting him to show pictures of Interchanges but he's showing roundabout that is being discouraged in 21st century road construction. You can argue with ekiti but compare abakaliki that your brothers ran away from to do #800 a day work in Ife iron and steel is a complete insult. For evidence, igbo people do more than 70% menial jobs in IIS. The old Ajebamidele village area in ife is filled by 80% igbos who are jobless and depend on someone who earns 800 a day for a living. the places i mentioned are there for you to see... Mumu |

Also, southwest capital cities don't shout about street light as it is a common sight in CBD areas... Abeere- olaiya- old garage- igbona- oke fia are regularly lighted up. electronic advertisement screens are common sight in osogbo and ife. your vocational center isn't even as big as a single high school in osun... Bring your city and human development indices and let me bust your myths |

If you have not been to Abakaliki, you can take a trip when this lockdown is relaxed completely, you will be happy to visit here. |

The best part is if he had done it on the good will of the people but when every project is being owned or partly owned by him then how do you see future developments unfolding. International market was built with government fund but still named after his wife for future looting I.E Subsequent government won't have a say on the market. Ebony state hotel is an eye sore now if you've visited abakaliki and nothing has been done by the so called Umahi lead administration. Don't be fooled by all this but look deeper into the meaning of the impending monocratic ownership of every business in Ebony instead of creating large channels of wealth for the state. |

sweetjohn:You really have a long way to go. Maybe you are one one of his jobless TAs from Abakaliki that feels that Ebonyi state is just Presco junction, Spera in deo and Udensi roundabout. No need to argue with a timid and naive Abakaliki man that is carried away by disco lights. Remind your principal that Afikpo South, Afikpo north, Ivo, Ohozara LGAs and many more do not have electricity since 2015. #restoreafikpolight |

Nwanyiogwashi:Read with understanding and not deliberately denigrating to the use of insulting words as cover up. Can you mention or show with pictures the quality projects initiated by or completed by Okowa? I don't know how smart you are, but all I see in the whole of Delta, from Warri to Asaba is one glorified slum. Or are you saying the state has no resources to have our own Lekki or VGC or Maitama in Delta State? Learn to think outside the box. Mediocre followers deserve mediocre leaders. |

UmuezeOzoagba:Another Umahi praise singer on the lose...sycophant! You want to compare your poverty ridden state to Imo? Keep wishing! For all we know, Ebonyi still remains the least state in the East. So neither you nor your midget and tyrant governor can change that. So, deal with it! |

Bekool:He's using local contractors instead of the likes of Julius-Berger and Arab contractors, as well as sourcing a lot of his building materials locally. The good thing with this is that it keeps profits within the state as well as employ a lot of Ebonyi youths in construction, unlike what obtains when using foreign contractors like the Chinese who not only import a lot of their materials from their country, but also bring along a lot of their people for the job! |
