You could see that what God said in Malachi 1:3, is that He has stopped liking Esau, He has stopped supporting Esau and that He is about opposing Him, to the extent that Esau house and his children's houses will be in a state of complete emptiness and/or destruction fit only for wild animals to take over

The Edomites are Esau's descendant mentioned in Malachi 1:3.
